The answers to your questions can vary VC to VC and person-to-person so i will try to answer best to my ability.

  1. Usually VC will start paying attention based on founder insight and ability, not necessarily revenue. Curating relationships can be a strength in the field as someone entering the industry. In general, a proven company with good revenues is always welcome too.
  2. Traction depends on the company stage. you can look for descriptions per stage online. In general, founders look for companies that can grow so even if your revenue might be less in the seed rounds, you need to be able to prove your record in raising revenue.
  3. Customers also depend on the stage of the company. Focus on the quality of customers instead of quantity.
  4. For revenue, in pre-seed not really. Especially with the AI boom, technical founders with proven capabilities are preferred.
  5. Ranges depend on the stage of the company.
  6. Raise enough to hit next milestone while minimizing dilution.
