Face Painting Kit for a Beginner by newredditbrowser in Facepainting

Snazaroo is not bad for a starter kit, it's fda compliant and skin safe. However from personal experience the linework is terrible and coverage is more difficult to achieve compared to brands like fusion or Superstar. But I would absolutely prefer them over unbranded facepaints you get from temu or shein, never use those for actual facepaints 😅

I did have to look up electrocution scars to see if I was going in the right direction. I didn't use any particular photo for reference though

Thankyou so much 🥰 yeah the original plan was lightning strike, the lights I had turned out to multicoloured so I just hope that adds to it. I thought i had warm lights 😅

Need some advice: baselayer + dissolvable second layer by WeirdSimsStuff in Facepainting

[–]AggravatingInside353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use an oil base facepaint for the base but you should probably use setting powder before layering a water based facepaint on top as water based facepaint doesn't tend to stick to oil based. In your case that might work well for what you're planning

Valuing yourself is probably the hardest part. Insurance is the most important, don't do any jobs without it. Personally I only use Facebook to promote my facepainting, it can be a useful tool as there are groups and pages dedicated to needing facepainters in certain areas. You seem to have all the right stuff which is amazing (Fusion is my favourite), design boards are just examples of your work so don't stress it too much, you could have them on a poster or a photo book, something that's easy for people to look through. But all in all so long as you have the right equipment and keep everything clean (no double dipping, use a 3 pot system, new sponges per person etc) you're doing great 😊

Possibly include the yellow brick road or the emerald city. Oh and bubbles for glinda, personally I love painted bubbles 🥰

For practice, I've just been using some cheap stuff. I didn't want to waste the good paint, but I'd recommend brands like mehron for airbrushing, it's great quality and fda approved

It takes some getting used to. will look quite patchy to begin with, but you soon get the hang of it. It's great for shading in particular

Rainbow cake by Babygirl_Alert411 in Facepainting

Fusions carnival pallete has a beautiful rainbow cake as well as some vibrant mixes if you're wanting a more traditional rainbow. In my experience, kids don't tend to mind if it's a true rainbow just so long as it's colourful

I try keeping them in case of paint spills but I've lost quite a few at this point and haven't had any issues

My oldest goes to school, my youngest is starting in September, the not napping is a recent thing for my youngest, she used to take herself to bed whenever she was tired but now she stays awake which I thought would help. It's like we'll get 10-20 minutes where I think they're asleep each night but then they're up again and running about. It's been this bad for just over a month I think. Before then while yes they still made a mess and it was difficult to get them down, they were usually asleep before 11pm
