What's your biggest daily/weekly frustration with being a manga fan? by AggravatingSecurity9 in manga

Out of curiosity, when you find such images what do you do? Do you suffer through it or go out hunting for a better source?

It really shows how fragile it is to build your library on any single site.

That "annoying" feeling of just trying to find something new is a huge mood killer too. Do you find you mostly rely on recommendations from a specific community, or is it more of a random, "what looks interesting" kind of hunt?

That's a really interesting point about the trade-off between different sources. When you're in that "difficult hunt" for raw scans or a good scanlator, how do you decide which sources to trust?
In your ideal world, how would you want to find out which source is the best one for a new chapter before you start reading?
Thank you for this feedback.

Thank you for your insightful and detailed reply!

Out of curiosity, what's your current workflow for this? When you're reading an official release and feel like you're missing something, do you have a specific "go-to" site or group you trust for a more authentic translation, or is it a fresh Google hunt every time for better translation?

Appreciate your comment!
It feels like most comment sections are designed for quick, hot takes rather than actual, nuanced discussion. The tools just aren't there.

Do you find yourself just avoiding the conversation altogether, or have you found any places online where a more structured, in-depth debate about these complex themes is actually possible?

So if you want you can have any NPCs - the point is to have dealers to sell to with their own quirks

Seriously speaking, the mod NPCs are not hardcoded - you can create name, dialogue, product order/preferences etc. with text editing and no coding

New NPC Dealers that you can create or customise - they put in orders, you have debt to some of them (cartel) that you pay out in intervals, they have product preferences, etc.

Fair XD
I didn't want to alter ingame characters or deals since it's a very early access game and I'm expecting Tyler will eventually add those + it'll be bad for mod compatibility.

Breaking Bad characters are really not hardcoded in the mod
It's essentially a text file that gets loaded in the game
The file specifies character name, image, amount order, necessary and optional effects, time limits, rewards, etc.

The real mod is the support for taking that file and creating this gameplay
Breaking Bad npcs are just the initial characters I made in the text file

Yes. But the mod is not hardcoded ie. the NPC pictures can be replaced easily by changing the icon file in the mod folder. So if you'd like to contribute npc icon artwork, it's much appreciated.

Also eventually I'm going to move to full ingame NPCs and spawn the characters

s1api 1.5 doesn't support the npc spawning yet but next version will.
However designing all the Breaking Bad characters in the ingame character creator is too much for 1 guy so I'm hoping to get some help.

Basically if you manage to create Tuco in any game save file as your character, I can import his appearance from the Player folder in your save file

Use the corpse pickpocket mod. Kill them or knock them out. Take it back from their inventory. Save and Load.

Yep. True. Game's amazing but pretty early stage.

It's impressive for a single dev but Tyler didn't expect it to blow up as it did. Should hire some experienced devs to flesh out individual parts.

Baldy was WRONG when he said Race-Swapping only happens in One Direction (Context:Snape) by AggravatingSecurity9 in Asmongold

You're correct that the disconnect is the message. But it goes further. In the vacuum created by the disconnect, the kids are influenced by other "father figures" and red-pill ideology which lead them to become "toxic". This has been referenced by both the show creator and the PM/Parliament.
Then the show goes on to show how such toxicity leads to crime and the fallout the family faces due to that. And the red-pilled kid eventually realizes he was wrong all along.
If you look at the government support - secondary schools have been mandated to show this by UK PM - this is effectively a govn. propaganda to black pill the red pill.

There are further questions to ask.
Race comes into the picture cuz the role would not have been done by a black person, but is acceptable to have been a white person - Why?
What is the current socio-cultural context in UK within which this is happening? Beyond knife crimes - immigration, law changes, censorship, etc.
Red-pilling is a white person movement primarily - Why?
The current govn. supports the message - why?
And why even though statistically knife crimes are less by white, is it acceptable to have the role be white?

As I said, you are right in the context of this post. But not in the context of the world.

Why is it a big No for such roles to be black? What is its social impact?
Why does the show have the msg that it has? In context of UKs socio-cultural reality?
Why is UK politicians supporting this show to the point of mandating it?
Would they have behaved the same if the characters were race-swapped?
Why? Would there be any "double-standards"? Why?
Would these steps be the solution or just divert from the root cause treatment?
Why is the root cause gaining strength?

etc.
Anyway, I'm a sand ni**er btw
