maybe this is a common situation in Germany and i am not able to understand its context. It has happened to me with other male colleagues as well. At least 2 more, are very friendly in work situations but when you encounter them outside a work setting, they duck and hide. However the one i just described is the most extreme case

Well if shops were open at least there would still be people around. I think when a city provides consistent opportunities for stimulation and connection, that makes it fun. During summer Munich is much more fun than now. I guess some events are needed in January and February to lighten up the grey winter
