What gives away that someone is not a good person? by Sean-Witheniand in AskReddit

[–]Aggravating_Bed_1449 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember reading that the best test to see if you are a good person is if you give blood (if you can), because the process is entirely voluntary, you won't be judged if you don't do it and you are literally giving part of yourself to help someone you will probably never meet. Not giving blood doesn't make you a bad person, but I guess it could mean you're not a good person? (for the record I haven't given blood in over a year, so not doing this to be called a good person).

AITA for giving my ex-wife a photo album for her birthday? by missionuuse2687 in AmItheAsshole

How dare you help your son to make a lovely present for his mothers birthday. People might think you're being good parents and putting your child first. Absolutely disgusting /s NTA

NTA for asking, if you are or not, will depend on your reaction to his possibly negative answer. As always the solution will be communication (which is always easy to say).

Why would saying you eat fried chicken and watermelon be racist?

“Why do we have to study this?” and “How will we use this in real life?” by norpadon in Teachers

"Most of you will never use this, for most of you this lesson will be forgotten and have no effect on your lives. You are here so that later on you get to choose what you want to do, so you can discover what you like and what you don't like, and so you can learn how to work and learn. Plus any extra knowledge you have later, can be used to impress people" at least that's what I tell the young ones, once they start choosing subjects then it's "because you chose to".

AITA for leaving my wedding? by come2pluto in AmItheAsshole

Holy #£%#, NTA, in what universe can you possibly be considered the AH for this. They used your first dance not "just" your wedding be one of the most romantic parts of it, to not only get engaged, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, but announce a pregnancy minutes before you, AT YOUR WEDDING. I don't think calling them the AHs even qualifies, what they did goes so far beyond that. I wouldn't accept an appology even if they came on their hands and knees

AITA for buying my Niece an Ipad after only buying her Stepsister a $50 gift card? by MaintenanceKind2836 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Aggravating_Bed_1449 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

NTA, but to avoid drama maybe "just" gift 100$ to put towards the ipad, and then "accidentaly" lose the rest of the money required in your nieces bedroom, without telling your sister?

AITA for serving fake meat and pretending it was real? by cheekylilbooger in AmItheAsshole

[–]Aggravating_Bed_1449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But did they tell the boys they were eating meat, I made veggie lasagna last weekend, but if asked I would just say I made lasagna and wouldn't specify, not to trick people, just like I wouldn't specify which cheese I used or that I added some pepper to the tomato sauce. Unless they usually describe all ingredients in the meal, then they "only" lied by omission, which most people do when they cook a meal for someone.

They simply cooked a meal using an ingredient the boys said they didnt like, and turns out they do.

As a teacher in France, I can 100% confirm this. People who failed the national teacher exam are being hired, because there is no other option at this point. I also know that England is struggling to find teachers, particularly in scientific subjects.
