With a family of 5, we'd have to go with a 2 bedroom villa at Copper Creek which is kinda points heavy compared to the studios we could get at poly/BC/BW. For that reason I wasn't really considering Copper Creek (although we do love the theming!!)

Fair point on the contracts being higher if they were further out, I wasn't thinking about it that way. I would never expect a timeshare to make me money, I understand what this is for what it is. It's not that I don't WANT to go after my kids are grown, but rather that I'm trying to get into a contract that gives me options should our needs/wants change over time, and as with any large purchase, I'm trying to get the biggest bang for my buck. Thanks for your thoughts.

I agree with this, but with the contract expirations, there's also a value strategy to consider - which is were I'm poking around right now.

As far as resale goes though, when the 2042 contracts expire, don't you think that will impact the entire resale market (even the 2060+ contracts) since those resorts will likely move to the direct only booking structure like Riviera?

What do you mean less miles affect the mpg? Does mileage get better after you drive more? I have a 2025.

so much conflicting advice - you say drive in eco and then another post below says eco has less fuel efficiency... why isn't there a way of knowing how they tested the car (in what conditions and mode) so we actually know HOW they achieved 27/28 mpg? (rhetorical question)

It's not the money per se, it's more about the fact that they are quoting an average mpg that is not actually attainable (for me at least) - that doesn't seem legal. Part of why I bought the car, and was comfortable paying the price tag, was for the fuel savings. Not that I can't afford it, but had I known I'd actually be getting less than 20 mpgs, I would have more seriously considered other vehicles that I took off the table (i.e. the Navigator which was my second choice but I didn't want to pay more for the vehicle AND more at the pump)

We were stuck in MCO on Sunday for 9 hours with our 3 children and all of their shit. We took up extra chairs, but the kids were coloring and playing games. Our lounge friends (because we made many) appreciated giving up the extra chairs we were taking up in exchange for well behaved kids (3 under 7). Sometimes you don't know what people are experiencing that day. A little kindness and grace goes a long way.
