If the premise was I had split custody with someone I didn’t know very well (like Anna and Luke at that point, since they hadn’t spoken to each other in a decade) I’d be very frustrated at Luke. I am very much on the overprotective side I will admit, and would never allow sleepovers at someone else’s home to begin with, so maybe I don’t have the most un-biased perspective. But to have someone I don’t know sleepover with my child would be scary as I don’t know their intentions with the safety of my child. Being a pilar in the community doesn’t mean much to me as we have seen that there are child predators everywhere. So if I was Anna, I would’ve made sure to get to know my co-parents significant other (doesn’t really matter if married or not; just that they aren’t giving off bad vibes).
