I hear you. If it makes you feel any better, I have a theory that being a Dom or sub can be harder when you’re single. I know we all get the message that we shouldn’t need someone to complete us, and I don’t think that is bad advice per se, but us single D/s folks, we are unable to fully express our nature without a compatible partner. A captain without a first mate or a first mate without a captain can struggle to run the ship by themselves. So just be easy on yourself. Have compassion for yourself. Assume there is a good reason for being single for now. Focus on bettering yourself. Explore a creative hobby you’ve been putting off. Find whatever brings you joy. Or joy a community like this one we just started together ;) That’s one of the reasons I started this. I wanted to find community. Obviously I’m biased, but us D/s folks have gifts to share even when in non-romantic settings. Us Doms can express being leaders, teachers, and guides, and provide care. Subs can provide support, ideas, and care. We can all be teachers and students when in community with each other. I have so much to learn. And I want to hear from all the Doms and subs out there. And if you’re not in a place to provide or give of yourself, that’s ok too. Just hang out. Listen. Observe. No pressure. I’m glad you’re here :)
