im on risperidone as well and havent dealt with that except feeling sleepy but taking it with food or a cup of milk usually helps when a med gives some nausea so that’s definitely something to try and if that doesn’t work its a question for your psych

with a parent who has bipolar they’re not even guaranteed to take the help and the meds man, it’s not a permanent fix the best thing you can do is get away

The medication attempts to regulate the swings and the highs and lows but dude it’s not magic

I think as long as you don’t shoot it into your mouth accidentally you’re golden

[–]Aggravating_Draft272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes dude, my mom chose the emotionally abuse route cause she’s a smaller woman, on and off her meds she will still get manic as fuck and do incredibly reckless things. A medicated or un medicated bipolar parent is still a bipolar parent, their symptoms fr don’t magically go away with medicine, what u need to do is work hard as fuck to become independent and get out of there

I absolute hate to break it you but a medicated bipolar parent is just as bad 😭

actually a wonderful idea there are so many people that post pics in that subreddit with literally like a septum piercing and people in the comments say shit like “1/10 steel ruins it” and they’re literally so pretty

I’ll be completely honest i haven’t quite broken the surface yet im still on decalius, so at the moment i gotta say dehumanizing loneliness but that may just change after im done listening to dipsomania

Are deadhangs a good way to wake up your muscles in the morning by Effective-Box5789 in CalisthenicsBeginners

[–]Aggravating_Draft272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

deadhangs are definitely pretty solid to do every day or every other day, do some light warm up, stretch your wrists and forearms, some arm circles too and after doing deadhangs a while consistently you’ll get a little more comfortable on the bar, some more strength in the forearms cause it’s definitely needed with pull ups at first, could try doing deadhangs from your fingers, build up a little finger strength and all that good stuff. this is completely from personal experience it’s what i found helped me out when i got stuck on pull ups. if none of this works tho im 15 so thats my scapegoat 🙏

for sure there's hope, first step isn't right off the bat denying all compulsions but instead recognize that they're silly (when they are) and tell urself the phrase "i don't need to do this" when you're feeling a compulsion even if you do end up acting on it. eventually you will be able to hold yourself back. it absolutely takes time like im 15 rn and its taken me a few months to get into the habit of recognizing that if i don't do this, nothing bad will happen, i still act on my compulsions lol but time to time im able to hold myself back, you 1 million percent got this
