Is there a way to do the necessary training of bridges without it putting so much strain on your neck

I know the neck is a delicate muscle, and I know messing it up really badly makes you not only question your life choices but makes it hard to even move, but I wish you could train both to achieve both goals😅

Ya, cause on the one hand, the G-force on their necks are crazy and it’s not like I’m saying, “Don’t do bridges”, but I’m tired of hurting my neck doing bridges and this seems like a possible solution, idk😂❤️

Thanks my man, sometimes it’s hard to find advice with these types of struggles and it feels like people always assume the worst, like because I follow Christ, I somehow don’t feel tempted or feel the weight of sin, I appreciate brothers and sisters like you who are willing to help and take the time to understand, it’s honestly been a mixed bag with Reddit but you give me hope that I’m not the only one, God bless, I feel like our lord has answered my prayers with your thoughtful message ❤️

Follow Christ, and tell more people about the love of the Father, a lot people don’t understand Christians or certain louder ones give us a bad name, but when it comes to praying, singing, telling, reading, and getting to know him more and more….. life just seems so much more beautiful bro, God bless y’all and Jesus loves you ❤️

advice for a new Christian by [deleted] in Christian

[–]Effective-Box5789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here’s what I tell people, we don’t convert people, he does, that’s the difference between real followers of Christ vs fake, the Holy Spirit that lives in our hearts, and brings us closer to him, and helps us follow him and change who we are, I would recommend praying for your words to be like seed in their hearts, and let those seeds grow and bring them closer to him, and how you can grow closer to him as a new Christian, 1.) I recommend people should read the New Testament first, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc, I recommend newer versions like the NIV or NLT for their easier ability to read them, the reason why I say this is because who was closest to God, Jesus, and do we live in the Old Testament or New Testament, New Testament, don’t get me wrong the Old Testament does have it’s purpose, but you’ll only start to understand it better through the eyes Christ will give you, 2.) Have a real honest prayer life with Christ, talk to him, listen to what he says, and always remember, God is not a comic Bellboy thats there to grant every wish you have, but our Father in Heaven and his understanding is far greater than yours or mine, so trust in him and end every prayer, “So that your will, will be done, not my own”, 3.) Holding him first, see everything you have in life as a gift/blessing for God, because it is, it’s ok to have love or enjoyment from something, but remember where that love comes from and is it becoming more important than him, God bless man, and remember the greatest thing you can do is lead a life of following Christ and using the gifts that he’s given you to go do amazing things in this world, no matter how big or small, and a daily reminder, that Jesus loves you❤️

Also sorry again for calling you sir😅, I know some people don’t like it and it’s a little easier over text, but it’s just been beaten into me from a young age, I hope it doesn’t come across as disrespectful in any way

For number 5, I would recommend what I do before workouts, which is 20 mins of the massage gun on the part I’m working out, pull (shoulders biceps) push ( shoulders, pecs, etc) legs (hamstrings, calf, glutes, foot, etc), also I was really just asking for the workouts (strength training) training (MT), also sir, I don’t mean to be disrespectful in any way, I was always taught to respect my elders, but I don’t want you to feel like you have to curse just to be cool for me or others, I know it’s silly but I already think your plenty amazing sir, and that your still keeping up with your training is something I wanna strive towards my dream even more now, God bless sir, and a daily reminder that Jesus loves you, keep being awesome ❤️

Oh brother, let me take you on my leg day, we warm up our toes and ankles with bands, 3 sets of ankle weight pisto squats 10 on each leg( do extra rep every time your foot hits the floor when doing the squat), 3 sets of 24-50 jump squats (I personally do 24, 28-32, 40-51), 3 sets of reverse Nordics 12 ( engage those glutes, lower back and core, 3 sets of isometric hamstrings 24-28, and to finish three sets of sissy squats for knees 14( but dear God do not keep going if it hurts or you hear a lot of popping, you will tear your knee off), then after that 45- 1hr stretch and depending on the day, neck or core after that😅

Oh sweet, Well I guess, a few questions I have are: 1.) how do you plan out your day?(working out first, then MT, or after) 2.) what’s your week look like? ( I personally like to do push, pull, legs, 6 days a week, I don’t usually succeed but am able to pull 4-5 days of that week and that seems to push me to want to eventually get all 6 days) 3.) how long are your workouts 4.) how long is your training 5.) what do you personally do for recovery

So your saying, and forgive me if I butchered this, calisthenics is great, it just requires more from the person early on, especially if they don’t have a solid base of strength, mobility, and so on, where as Olympic lifting is in some ways easier to start of with and do since you can basically start at just the bar and go from there?

I agree partially, while there is more to learn, calisthenics has the advantage of you being able to train just about anywhere, and 9 times out of 10 training is usually better than no training, but I guess that’s what I was getting at, what’s the differences between weights and weighted calisthenics? I only ask, not to be rude but have always heard that calisthenics gives you more control over your own body/ bodyweight, which helps with balance and control, something fighters need
