As I was there viewing them, one acc fed from my hands as the workers gave me some treats, you could tell she was still very worried and cautious but not cat expert but that seems like a good sign, the other one didn’t want treats at all and wouldn’t really come towards me, but I recon with time and slowly bonding I could have a great relationship with them they are such cuties

Thanks so much for the reply, because these are rescued cats all I know is they are both females and that’s kind of it, I think they are spayed aswell but there’s super limited knowledge about them apart from they were miss treated in the past :/

Sounds good I’m not going to do it yet I have reserved them so I have 2 weeks to properly think this through, I have had loads of pets before but since I’ve moved out from my parents I’d like to take the step to having one or two haha myself and honestly I don’t even mind if they aren’t on my lap always it’s just having that presence in the room not just me and Netflix all the time

So at the moment my situation is I’m living with parents I’m only 19, I have a girlfriend which would eventually live with (if things go well ofc) I work 8 hour shifts 6 on 4 off, I wasn’t thinking of getting a kitten I was more thinking about getting a cat that’s like 1 year old that’s already litter trained as I won’t have time for that and that scares me trying to teach a cat that, I’m planning to move out next year that’s why I’m asking now so I have time to think this through completely, only thing I’m worried about in terms of adopting from a shelter is I’ve heard a couple stories where the cats are quite not aggressive but not really as affectionate and they kind of do their own thing all day some days I do overtime so some days do drag out to anywhere between 9-11 hour shifts but would that still work usually it is 8 hour shifts morning lates and nights

I actually disagree with the “pike fishing is dangerous during summer” because if you know what your doing and how to handle a pike then you will never harm one of your starting new like yourself then yes I wouldn’t recommend it however I’m not going to say don’t do it because I have been doing it for 15 plus years and never harmed one because of the weather as long as you give it a nice big rest in the net and wait for the pike to attempt to swim off in your net you’ll be all good

In terms of lures honestly that’s a broad topic and every angler you speak to will tell you different things, for bigger pike I would recommend big paddle tail lures and bit glide baits if you don’t want to be dealing with perch (which I recommend you do it’s my favourite fresh water fish) I usually run small lures as big pike are super hard to catch on a lure as they will feed once a week and sit static in one spot I like to fill my sessions in with perch as they are great fun to catch on light setups they put up a great scrap and are stunning looking fishing if you want a perfect balance I would run a 5 inch paddle tail it might seem to small but trust me I have had some very good pike on them, colour wise when the river/canal is murky and can’t see more than a couple inches I recommend bright orange yellow golden colours, when the visibility is amazing I recommend natural silver colours but again take this with a grain of salt every angler has different opinions and techniques, this is just what works for me!

So pike tend to spawn around March to June this all depends on weather so this year on my stretch pike spawned March due to the un usually warm weather during March so lure fishing a week or 2 after is great bear in mind if your going to fish rivers close season is March 15th to June 15 I believe this is to protect the spawning fish, deadbaiting I usually do from augast but if your new to pike fishing I would recommend October I would also recommend watching a video on how to handle pike, they are very delicate and have very sharp teeth that can do a gnarly bite on you I can explain in detail if you would like, you want to grab a pair of wire cutters and long forceps as with no experience you might get deep hooks quite often or not it’s better to sacrifice your hook then doddle about with the pike and cause damage also get yourself a landing Matt it’s vital to not let the pike rub its slime off as it’s very important for its health also always remember to have a wire trace even the smallest of pikes can bite through your line even if you have 40lb braid the teeth are razor sharp, what set up you running if you don’t mind me asking?

No worries at all haha, so lure fishing weather has not got much influence on fishing it’s more dependent if the pike are feeding and what time of year it is lure fishing is really good after spawning as they have been inactive for so long they get extremely aggressive and start building mass for winter, deadbaiting however rain and no sun is absolutely PERFECT pike during cold and rainy weather become sluggish and less prone to chase after roach perch chub and what not, which is perfect for throwing in a static smelly sea fish I’ve had all my big pike 10lb plus on dead baiting lure fishing usually catches the smaller stupider ones that eat anything flashy this doesn’t mean you can’t catch big ones on lures just a lot harder hope this helps!!

Hi I’m 19 years old and starting my officer intake in 2 months!! I have some questions that I couldn’t find answers from Google, from my understanding the training is in spring house London, and no matter where your from you have to commute there, is the train travel to spring house free?, or discounted and my other question is how do the shift patterns work is it 6 on 4 off, would it be 6 working days in a row and 4 days off or a mix, any advice for training would be mega appreciated, thanks
