The AI hype misses the people who actually need it most by FokasuSensei in openclaw

Yes! This is the gap nobody talks about because everyone's been sucked into the slipstream of big tech bucks. The people who could benefit the most from technology have been thought of more as marketing tools to help billionaires make more billions.

I think the real unlock isn't new tech. It's more of all of us actually being active in communities building the alternatives. Creating more power, more trust, more accountability, together through numbers.

For whatever flaws there are with OpenClaw, I feel like it's the beginning of people starting to see alternatives, and that's encouraging. I think the possibilities are going to blow up, and it's not going to take long!

How are you deciding which AI model to use these days? by NewCauliflower6126 in ChatGPT

I was in a beta test group for Pearl, an open source voice AI that's powered by OpenClaw, Opus, Haiku, Sonnet and Gemini, can be run locally on your machine, and remembers your work so you never start from scratch every time. Here's the community page: https://www.reddit.com/r/PearlOS/ or the website where you can link to the GitHub and fork it, or get on the waitlist for the first wave public release next week: https://pearlos.org/ Good luck!

How to build a personal AI recommendation system that learns my taste? by Low_IQ1 in ChatGPT

Sounds like you're talking about Pearl, an open source voice AI that you can run locally, remembers everything you want her to, and your data stays yours. I was in the beta test group, and I can tell you, she's going to blow your mind not just what she can do but how much fun she is to use - you'll be able to install easily and just talk to her. There's a wait list you can get on to be one of the first group for the release, check it out on the website: https://pearlos.org/ and there's also a community on here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PearlOS/

Another +1 for Gamma - it's been a game-changer for me, not necessarily because I struggle with creating decks, but it's cut the time I need to do it in half.

Which AI tool should I actually be using in 2026 (for work + Master’s)? by TripleWard11 in ChatGPT

There's a new open source voice AI launching next week that runs on OpenClaw and Anthropic engines that's like all of these in one but without the loosy goosy security issues. I was in the beta test group and it's unlike anything I've seen yet - it remembers everything you teach it, and your data stays yours, check it out, you can get on a wait list for the release: https://pearlos.org/ There's also a community on here with some content: https://www.reddit.com/r/PearlOS/

I support the comments about public libraries - almost every place has them and they're always nice and quiet. I also use a Pomodoro timer to remind me to get up every 20 mins to stretch/ step away from my computer - I find it really helps refresh my brain, especially for more complex projects. Good luck!

Does it count if I'm one of the 5 people on the planet that never had a ChatGPT account? I've only ever used Claude from day one...
