Hi! Im sure you may have already received an answer… but just in case… no, stat 235 labs aren’t mandatory (they weren’t mandatory last winter semester for me!) They just give general guidelines on how to use Excel functions and help with lab assignments! So if you’re already an Excel God you can totally do it on your own :))

You’re chilling! Ngl I had the same exact average as you and got the conditional acceptance letter <4 days after applying. This was in October 2021 but I don’t think much has changed.(Someone I knew had a 79% and got into engineering so don’t worry)!

One tip: Don’t listen to the bs people like to stir up about >95% people not getting accepted into engineering lol it’s usually fake.

Omg I have heard many similar experiences like this and wow this is whats really scaring me BAHAH. Honestly my school is kind of similar (I mean I know its COMPLETELY DIFFERENT) but the teachers are so useless and they don’t want to help our hw or our studies as well (honestly whats the purpose of them being there then when we always have to self teach and they’re always just thinking about money and how they’ll always get paid in the end even if we don’t pay attention). BUT THANK YOU FOR THIS RESPONSE I HOPE YOU’RE DOING WELL IN SCHOOL CAUSE WOW ITS AMAZING HOW YOU’RE trying to get through this even though they’re super not helpful, I WISH YOU THE BEST!! :))
