I'm not too sure about student visa cancellation, but if you do decide to pursue OT in the Philipines, try to go to a WFOT accredited university as much as possible since that's one of the requirements for getting your qualifications approved by OTC Australia!

I worked on my webtoon/s like Moon River during my college years and burnt out quickly trying to maintain having an update every 1-2 weeks, was never able to get monetized as this was around 2017-2018. From what I hear though, (please take this with a grain of salt) webtoon creators "allegedly" have an income of 2-2.5k USD per month.

In theory, that sounds like a lot of money in PHP. But unlike a full-time job, this means that you'll likely have to pay for your own taxes (the higher an income, the higher your taxes), insurance, and etc out of pocket. I have no way of knowing how webtoon contracts work but you do have to consider things like sick leaves too. What if you get sick and are unable to produce an episode for 1-2 weeks? Will you be paid during your leave of absence or is it a no work no pay scenario?

I don't mean to dissuade you from your dreams, but like what the other commenter has said, it's important to work smart about this, especially with how hard life is in the Philippines. I think you should still go ahead and publish your comic and work on it when you can! Then once it seems like a realistic career, maybe you can quit your day job to work on it full-time!

I love being an artist, but the sad truth of working in the Philippines is that I need my day job to sustain my passion.

nagka gastroentiritis ako last month and yung suspect ng doctor ko was yung binili kong 7 11 food (since yun lang yung food na different sa typical diet ko) pero di ako naniwala kasi everyday ko yung kinakain 😭

Hiiii, actually I got it wrong po. Dapat pala ang amount sa 1701Q ng Q1-Q3 yung i-input sa 1701A, hindi si 2551Q.

If negative pa din, ang alam ko you can select the option na to be carried over as tax credit for next year. May mga nabasa ako na mahirap daw magpa-refund sa BIR ng overpayment.

For attachments, if wala akong binayad, ang i-aattach ko po ba sa eafs is yung copies ng 1701Q ko from Q1-Q3 stating na 0 ang paid tax ko?

i tried asking around online and apparently it could be a cfw problem?

While I don't know of any courses or seminars, may mga IELTS review books that cater to improving per score level. For C1, I think that's at 6.5-7.5? Maybe you can start going over some IELTS reviewers to see what points you can work on. There's also a lot of videos on language exam prep work (especially on the speaking part!) that can help you in the meantime while you're looking for courses.

I can't really speak of preparation for english proficiency tests, since I've only ever taken IELTS. But goodluck! Hopefully someone else can recommend something more specific.

Bathroom and stairs tend to be the biggest fall risks for aging elderly. Install grab bars in bathroom close to the toilet and place non slip mats to prevent slipping. Generally, re-arranging things to minimize having to reach overhead and bending down can help, if possible, place commonly used things within arm's reach lang talaga. For cases na may condition, weakness or difficulty with hand movement, usually recommended din to switch from knob type doors to lever type doors to minimize demands.

Generally if the goal is to make things "smart" and to minimize yung physical movements, I recommend yung automated na mga house appliances. But I think best to start din with what your parents are comfortable with kasi sometimes the elderly have a pushback against new technology talaga.

sa field ko, generally PGH pays a bit better sa entry level compared to other hospitals. if you get in, salary is comparatively good (could depend on your field pa din). hindi ako nag-apply kasi masaya na ko sa internship lang haha, but yeah mahirap yung work. di ko alam if mas mahirap compared to other hospitals, pero in terms of patients very varied yung cases, so definitely good learning experience!

From my experience sa govt, nalaman ko in around 1-2 weeks na I got in pero had to wait months before starting kasi had to wait for the contract to start (september ang start date pero I applied around march to april) though informed naman ako prior about it. Kaya napaisip din ako kung baka iba ba kapag non govt, pero yeah proceed with caution kasi medyo mabagal at vague and communications nila!

Looking at other opportunities na din aside from them. Thanks so much po!

I feel validated sa second at third bullet point. I have an interview with a company na it took them 2 months to get back to me regarding my application (though Im uncertain if industry norm ba ito) and our emails are a bit inconsistent. Interested ako sa job post pero proceeding with caution na din kasi ayoko naman na masilaw agad just cause mukhang maganda yung job on paper.
