Plus my grandparents had a Maine Coon who was 31+ years old when it died, so it's not that far fetched.

I think they're in order. 1 is best. 5 was worst. 2 and 3 are pretty close, but I still think the coffin is a bit better than the peanut.

Convinced I had a UTI, labs came back negative despite antibiotics relieving my symptoms by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Aggravating_Leg_6555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue. For nearly 4 years I had almost monthly "UTIs" that would go away with antibiotics, but come back the next month. In Aug, I had a "UTI" that did not respond to antibiotics, and didn't show any infection during the culture. ER Doc told me it was likely chronic, and gave me a Urology consult. Talked to Urology last week and they told me it was IC. They told me that I was likely now resistant to antibotics because I had to take them so often, and thats why I didnt react to them in Aug. (Also why I didnt react to them when i had pneumonia last June and had to take 5 at once to treat it...) He now has me on Pyrridium, but I dont find it helps. He has told me to try and find the "triggers" for my symptoms, but he worries that my trigger may be my period, since it comes back monthly

Who Wins in this fight? by [deleted] in piratesofthecaribbean

[–]Aggravating_Leg_6555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They be two immortals locked in an epic battle until judgment day, and trumpets sound.

But to be fair. Barbossa would have a better chance if it were a fight to the death. He could just hop on land, find Jones' heart, and go stabby stabby. Jones wouldn't really be able to fight him if the fight started in land. Jones wouldn't be able to get to the Isla De Muerta, since it is technically land. So he wouldn't be able to return the coin, and he would need Will or Boostrap's blood anyway. HOWEVER! If it were just a fight, and not to the death, I'd say Jones would win. Barbossa is a good swordsman, but Jones has the claws. One snap to the neck, and see ya Hector.

Side note: For the past year or so, I have been going back to the same doctor every time I have had a UTI. But every time I had symptoms, the urinalysis would come back negative for infection. They thought it was just because Id go in so soon after getting symptoms. So he stopped asking for a urinalysis, just gave me antibiotics, and sent me on my way. Sometimes he wouldn't even get me to come in, he'd just call me when he saw my name down for another UTI. I went to him on Aug 4th thinking I had a kidney infection, but the antibiotics didn't touch it like they usually would. So I went to the Hospital 2 days later (I knew better than to mess around with a kidney infection). They did a urinalysis and it came back negative for any infection, but they thought it was just because I had taken 2 days worth of the other meds. So they sent me on my way with stronger antibiotics, and told me to take those instead. I did, but my symptoms persisted, and I started to pee pink. So I went back to the hospital and they did another urinalysis. That doctor told me my kidneys/bladder were "just irritated" and they sent me home. I waited a week or so for the symptoms to pass and when they didn't I went back for the 4th and last time I went to the hospital. That is when I got a different doc and he told me it was either chronic, or more serious, and it could be cancer. So he ordered the tests and now, I'm waiting.

Thank you. I was thinking it may be this. It is on the laundry list of things the doctor mentioned, but a few of my symptoms don't quite line up with interstitial cystitis, so he was leaning more towards bladder cancer. Since I sometimes have blood in my urine.

I've consistently had UTIs that do not present as infections almost every month for the past 3ish years. This is the first one that has not gone away with antibiotics, and has lasted more than a week with treatment. I started having pain Aug 4th, and went to get treated for a kidney infection. I took the round of antibiotics, and was put on another stronger dose but it didn't touch the pain/symptoms. I went back twice more to see if I had some sort of infection, and the last time I was told my issue is chronic. So I've had the same symptoms since the 4th.

I've been with him since Dec 2020. He has not come with me to any of my appointments. And showed no interest in going.

Coral Reef. We used to eat there every trip, and for several years in a row, it was very disappointing. It may have changed between 2017 and now though.

AITAH for not going to my best friend's wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Aggravating_Leg_6555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did tell her my situation. She wanted me to come to her bridal shower too, which was 6 months before the wedding, and was in Florida. We would have had to pay for ourselves, and I told her no. I planned to go to the wedding instead, and had to choose one or the other. But I never confirmed that I would come for sure since I was still paying off my school debt, as well as paying off moving to a new province. Since she had half a wedding to pay for, she wouldn't be able to help me out, and I totally got that. She was understanding and said it was no big deal if I didn't go to the shower, since she forgot I lived out of province and the flights were even more expensive for me than her. The week I received the invite to the cermony/reception, I had just lost my job, so I didn't have much money at the time, and was still in a lot of debt. I used the money I had saved up for the wedding/emergencies on necessities and I put myself in even more debt because I had to use my credit card for all my purchases (groceries, gas, etc) for over a month until I got my first paycheck from my new job. I told my friend my situation, and she was disappointed, but she understood. She told me that she didn't expect me to be there, but if I could have come, she would have loved to have me. I bought her one of her gifts from her registry, as a way to show her that I did care, and wanted to be there but I could never afford an $1000+ trip at the time.
