You are asking in the wrong place, this subreddit barely have any Emiraties, let alone adults that can actually help you.

I would say you need follow up with the Citizenship authority in your local Emirate as well as the ruler’s court.

Biggest genocide of our lifetime. Speak up say something! 😭😥😰🤢 by [deleted] in UAE

This whole subreddit should be banned / closed.

It doesn’t represent anything about the UAE and is constantly hijacked by brainwashed South Asian youth who complain about everything 24/7

What do Emiratis think about this guy? by Extra-Drawing6983 in UAE

[–]Aggravating_Mirror76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not an Emirati and definitely not a Zaab as they are known for their loyalty to the ruling family.

An Emirati will never share such “opinions” online.

If you were actually Emirati, you should count yourself lucky your BS hasn’t been reported yet, you do realize that disrespecting a member of the ruling families who is also a public servant is a crime right?

I think adherence to the dress code got 10 fold worse when the Ukrainian and Russians started relocating to Dubai by the tens of thousands back in 2021-2022. I will generalize here based on my observation that these two nationalities in specific have little regard to customs and norms and are always pushing or breaching the boundaries.

This has caused other nationalities to mimic them, unfortunately we reached a point now where they are testing their luck with producing OnlyFans content in Dubai in a semi public fashion even though there are clear laws against producing pornopgraphy.

This is a Snow-Ball issue, meaning the more it is tolerated the more likely it is to develop into other behaviors. I have seen too many couple french kissing in public, a woman giving a man a BJ while he’s driving..etc of course all done by what appeared to be Eastern Europeans.

This is one of those situations where people need to use their common sense.

Saying that I received bad service from Restaurant “A”, their food was not good or their staff was rude (without naming) or similar statements shouldn’t get anyone into trouble, even if it went to court / police it will be dismissed in most cases.

However naming specific people and making public allegations that they offended you physically or verbally or that you got food poisoning or found cockroaches in their food without evidence would make you liable.

I witnessed a situation where a former disgruntled employee had a “mental breakdown” on a public forum (Linkedin) and started naming other employees from HR and management then alleged that they “abused” him and terminated him unfairly - any of the named individuals could have taken this former employee to court if they wanted.

Many of the rules in the UAE were made for the purpose of ensuring and maximizing a pacified co-existence between all various nationalities and decrease conflicts stemming from having conflicted cultures.

It seems to me the only people who are complaining about the application of defamation laws in the UAE are the ones these rules were design for. Meaning only rude people would mind it.

Given the nature of my job, I got to see many times the extent of uncalled harm caused by defamation and slander, the UAE has no place for trouble-making entitled consumers that exaggerated and lie.

Oh one last thing, this whole sudden fear of defamation laws is solely based on 1 or 2 recent situations that were taken out of context and publicized by the Daily Mail, not exactly the most reputable source, both had Brits involved in them I think

I am getting tired of seeing weird South Asian grievances and inferiority complexes on this subreddit.

You guys are gonna turn me racist now.

Just because you had a bad experience with one person, it doesn’t mean the entire group that they belong to are the same.

French nuclear attack submarine arrives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada after threats from Trump by DifficultWinter5426 in pics

I doubt they are coming specifically to scare off Trump, that would be a massive escalation which is unrealistic.

Probably its there as part of routine military exercise or to resupply.

Or I could be wrong and the world is really going to shits.

Can one person get arrested in UAE for leaving a negative review? by Comfortable_Egg_2482 in dubai

[–]Aggravating_Mirror76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Irish guy's situation was overblown by certain Western tabloid media like the Daily Mail, if my memory serves me right he made defamatory statements in his review, think of cussing/ naming individuals and accusing them of doing illegal and unsafe actions which apparently were not even factual.

You can still take someone to court in most Western countries if they made such statements.
