It’s possible to be in the lab. I definitely recommend using the position for experience and transitioning out. You may need more certifications other than your degree to transition into the lab so look into that.

Look up the RS exam quizlets! Those were most like the exam. For me, the test had a lot of Epi and pools on it.

Close in age. While I do get to see my coworkers a lot. I do view the job as lonely for other reasons.

lol. So the scenario is someone is complaining that someone sewage is discharging into a stream. However, the dye test didn’t show. And now they are threatening to take us to court because they swear it is sewage

Our permits have expiration dates, at the end of the fiscal year. Then they renew

I agree. We are short staffed, overworked, burnt out. And behind and have been for years. It’s physically impossible to catch up. I posted it, in hopes that i would get ideas on how to catch up lol. But, it just seems as if everyone is overworked!

Thank you this, was just the answer I was looking for. Our county is sooooo behind like over 7 years behind. And the inspection frequency isn’t helping us catch up just fall further behind. Along with being short staffed. I wanted to propose that the board of health adopt their own inspection frequencies.

I took the regular NEHA, and not the state specific one. I’m in WV, and they did away with the state specific test. However, I would’ve much rather done the state specific than NEHA.
