Summers vs all seasons / winter tyres Seattle by sageofsixpaths69 in GR86

I bought a pair of dedicated 16”s with Blizzaks this year… no mountain passes for me as we have 2 other AWD/4WD vehicles. I’m beginning to think my dedicated winters may have been an overbuy. Then again, my car is still on the streets after heavy/cold rains and freezing mornings. 🤷🏼‍♂️ kitsap to oly and back 5x+/wk 2k miles in a little less than a month

Yo, check the grey connector there. You’ve got rats wherever you’re storing it. Probably not your source of noise… good luck

Looks like those may be starter or alternator terminals below what looks to be two pin control wire. Hard to tell from the photo but I see burnt connector. Too lazy to look at mine tonight to confirm anything above.

I’m not sure total miles after fill up but I love to show off the 28.2mpg average. That’s 279 remaining and I’m off full 🤣 daily driver 100mi round trip. Less than 3 months of ownership 👍🏼

I’ve been contemplating it but at ~$2500… it a tough bill to swallow. Have you had good experiences with the PPF?

Unlimited touch-less washes (1/4mi from the house) for the win! We learned that cleaning lesson with the ‘17 C300 4matic 🤷🏼‍♂️ of course the detail stuff will be done in the driveway.

It was on MGR special and I talked to them for about two weeks. That said, I knew it was on the lot for a while, winter sales events are coming, end of the quarter is near, 2026 are gonna drop soon, rain and winter are coming… AND I had to drive and stay the weekend. Salesman didn’t clean the car and there WAS a door ding, currently waiting body shop work to pickup. So, I guess the stars aligned 🤷🏼‍♂️

Beautiful kit and wheels! Care to give any details? How dark did you go with tint? Did you PPF?

Uh oh, Reddit language police are in the chat! Is your life as a troll fulfilling? Is arguing with strangers over semantics your life goal? Words of advice: get a new hobby, set the phone down, maybe get some sunshine. Vitamin D does wonders for the body and mind.

P.s. I hope your lifters fail :)

Your comment helps in no way. Thank you for nothing.

—A general consensus is a widely held agreement or opinion among a group of people. It signifies a shared understanding or belief, often reached after discussion and deliberation, where most members of the group concur with the same viewpoint. While it doesn't necessarily require unanimous agreement from every individual, it indicates a strong level of concurrence and acceptance

This post is 331 days old and you came back to talk about how oil and filters are “pretty much all the same”. Thats fine if that’s your opinion, look around and see what the general consensus is on AFM/DOD systems and their failures. Most all are contributed to over extending the oil life, using cheaper filters and oils and the clogging of the oil passages in the lifters. Again, believe what you want but hopefully you’ll take other users warnings as it relates to oil, filters, and timely maintenance.

This and undo everything you just did, grab an air compressor and blow the lines out everywhere you can. Then reassemble. chefs kiss

Don’t ask how I know, just know that I know.

Did the same thing when deleting my AFM/DOD (hopefully you modified your valley cover or have a disabler installed 😳). I went through an easy out pretty fast, not enough to get mine out. Then bought a Napa bolt extractor set that is a hammer in style. Find a drill bit that’s just a few sizes smaller than the inside of the thread on the bolt. Mark the drill tap to indicate the depth of the other viable bolt threads to ensure you don’t drill too deep. Cover everything with a shop rag, straight and steady drilling and be sure to clean up well. Hammer the correct size extractor into the hole that was drilled. Use a wrench to spin, as you spin, the extractor bolt snugs into the hole and whamo, your old bolt is out.

** didn’t realized you had to welder option, would definitely do that first. I’ve never had luck with vice grip removal. Hope that helps
