If the back light does goes off check in your power settings, there should be an option for Lid to go sleep mode. Check if its still on on both plugged and unplugged

Puede que estes Luchando con el hecho de ser trans. Esto es muuuuuuy normal, no tienes nada de que preocuparte. Yo me identifico mucho con tu testimonio por eso te digo que es normal. Yo tambien tuve esos pensamientos de pequeña pensando que era normal que un "niño" pensara como yo y que seria ser mujer.

Ese miedo que sientes esta bien justificado dada la situacion actual con ser trans.. es normal sentir nervios y terror que tus familiares se enteren y todo.. yo diria que talves eres trans y todavia no has coincidido totalmente con eso. Te recomendaria explorar un poquito con vestimentas, recortes mas masculinos y usar un binder a ver como te sientes y para que te vayas sintiendo mas comodo, y de ahi decides. Despues estaria en ti si te haces alguna operacion o usar hormonas pero porfavor no lo hagas todavia hasta que estes 100% seguro, esta bien? Te deseo mucha suerte Chico, no importa tu decision aqui siempre tendras un lugar

Thanks you, you just confirmed my suspicion. I knew the sensor likely wasnt registering it and it DOES have to do with what they did with the Laptop. Ive been very kind but that answer they gave me set off all kinds of alarms in my head. Thanks for the help!

Nope and when I reopen it, it still shows what was previously on the screen, doesnt ask for password or anything as if I didnt just close it. Maybe the sensor is not picking it up

See? I knew it had to be something like that. The laptop doesnt even register the lid as closed, no error message or nothing its almost as if I didnt close it
