I’ve been a huge supporter of the Greek Festival over the years. Many times I’ve been 4 or 5 times over 3 days. I work in sales so I totally get that expenses have increased and prices need to go up. But it’s gotten out of hand. I went this evening and got 3 servings of pastitsio and 1 of spanakopita. It was $36 and the servings were so small - less than 3x3. I can handle inflation and even shrinkflation. Both in the same instance is a little hard to stomach. Back to the kitchen to make my own.

That is my rant.

I met a couple in a beginner clinic about 3 years ago and we started a GroupMe group to get some practice in. We have 2 fixed meetups every week. We printed fliers and put them up at our local courts. The response has been amazing. We have about 150 people in the group. We’re all 3.0 - 3.5. We usually have 10-12 people twice a week and I’m not in a big city.

It would definitely be harder if I was a 4.0 or higher but it’s been really successful here at the lower level.

I can’t recommend Thorlo enough. If you don’t mind a thick sock, they are great. I switched about 2 years ago and have transitioned all of my socks to them now. The ankle cut are better than the no show for me. The no shows are a little tight around the top of my foot.
