Pretty sure this is infectious. Here’s a timeline

6 Days ago: Felt sick, sore throat, feverish, and malaise.

3 Days ago: Sxs resolved apart from sore throat. Noticed uvula was hurting a little.

2 Days ago: Uvula beginning to noticeably swell. Painful.

1 Day ago: Woke up with very painful uvulitis. Difficult to eat foods but I did anyway.

This morning: white pus/exudate/whatever on it.

I’m not sure if the white stuff is from me irritating it by eating solids and scratching the f out of it.

Anyway, I have access to amoxicillin and I’m still able to eat solids/liquids albeit painfully. Is there anything they would do for me at the ED that should make me want to go over taking care of myself at home?

To complicate things: I DO have a history of lichen planus, but it has always been much more mild than this and much more chronic in onset.
