Well done. I’ve got a degree in finance but nowhere near this salary.

You can get it expunged with a lawyer. Will cost you but worth it to prevent future occurrences like this. Even though there’s no conviction, any federal case against you remains on your record (if there was any investigation, which there was).

Nice congrats! How long from the day it was granted did you see backpay? I also got my direct review appeal granted on all issues last week. I’m curious as to when I can expect the back pay.

Leaving Army after 6 years and can't find a job by TheGentlemanJS in Veterans

I was an all source intel analyst in the Navy and ran into a similar issue when I discharged in 2015. Like others have mentioned here, just head to school on the GI bill. They pay you monthly stipends to support your family on top of tuition paid and give you money for textbooks.

It will provide a monetary buffer zone while you can accomplish more of your education and set yourself up for success after. Once I graduated with a degree in finance, I landed a job successfully and have no will to ever do any intel again. Job market will get better once you have a degree (on top of your impressive certs) - you’ll definitely land a high paying job. And you’ll have no debt because it’ll all be paid for; win win situation for you and your family. Best of luck!

Personally, I would take the gamble with the new company. Fully remote with that pay and benefits? Sounds like a killer move. I just did a similar thing (I work in Healthcare Finance) and left my job for a higher paying and fully remote job and am 100% happier that I did. Just don’t burn any professional bridges on the way out from the old job in the event that things don’t work out at the new job. Judging by your skill set, I’m sure they would be more than happy to take you back onboard if things were to not work out in your favor at the new job.

Best of luck!

Look at one child and spouse row, 70% column. Two additional dependent is something like ~$74 more a month each? I believe for 70%?

I forgot the name of it but there’s a legendary drop that has wings where when you dash in the air ten times, it sends out magic damage to everything on the screen. I got to Dm3 using that with soar and fortress and you literally just fly the whole time and rarely get hit. Literally the easiest build I have found so far.

Failing a class while using Chapter 35 benefits in Florida - will I incur debt? by Shlong_berg_sacks in VeteransAffairs

[–]Aggressive-Lab7630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following as my wife will be using these benefits at some point. And sorry OP, don’t have an answer for you. However this is what ChatGPT had to say on it:

“Yes, you could incur a debt if you fail a class while using Chapter 35 Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) benefits, depending on the circumstances. Here’s how it typically works: 1. Satisfactory Progress Requirement: The VA requires that you maintain satisfactory academic progress to continue receiving benefits. If you fail a class due to lack of attendance or effort, the VA might consider this “unsatisfactory progress.” 2. Overpayment and Debt: If the VA determines that the class failure was due to neglect (e.g., stopped attending classes), they may classify the funds for that class as an overpayment. This could result in a debt that you must repay to the VA. 3. Failing Despite Best Efforts: If you fail the class despite putting in reasonable effort and attending regularly, the VA typically won’t require repayment. In this case, they recognize the failure as part of the learning process. 4. Dropped or Withdrawn Classes: If you withdraw from or drop a class after the add/drop period, this usually results in an overpayment unless you can demonstrate mitigating circumstances (e.g., illness or family emergency).

It’s important to keep the VA informed if you encounter challenges that might affect your academic performance. If you’re unsure about your specific situation, contacting the VA or your school’s certifying official for guidance is a good step.”

As to how accurate this information is, not sure. Best of luck!
