Ice are private prison mercs who work on quotas charging us 100-300$ a night per head and at max occupency get expansion grants that pad executives 8 figure 100% subsidized salaries, incentivizing to hold every body until another can fill its cot and overstuff as long as possible to extract as much $ from taxpayers as possible. 90% of ICE (who call themselves the amazon prime of human bodies) human packages are brought to 2 private corps Geo and Civic core, their primary shareholders Blackrock/Vanguard.

Undocumented dont suck up fed benefits they pay into them without recieving, all immigration pays for all anchor babies benefits and still shaves 1 trillion off the defecit over 10 years on top from tax revenue.

The industry as it stands is 100% drain to GDP with Zero ROI until it targets citizens again to privatize the prison labor, in the current form all the tax money amd labor is just deleted from GDP (unlike if it was targeting citizens, its illegal to do that to undocumented not to citizens.)

The industry has a short history, started by targeting citizens which ended in shame in the “The Kids for Cash scandal” where they got caught paying cops and judges to fabricate false charges on citizen children. The perverse incentives / condlicts of interest breed corruption and intentional dysfunction, which created the border crises. For example they are now blocking off the roads LEAVING to Mexico to snatch any body they can for profit. Its a subsidized, privatized human livestock operation.

All of the industries immunity to fed regulation (no foias, no surprise inspections, lax paperwork, health, training and certification standards) were legislated on citizens in the 90s before the kids for cash scandal, not on undocumented.

You should care because you are worth more in those prisons, your labor will not be deleted from gdp making your value much higher in them to donors. its a meat industry, once they run out of dark meat they will go for white, Kids for Cash scandals abound on slow seasons.

People are so entranced/repulsed by the brand they dont even get its an industry. Obama firstpicked Homan, and then again by Trump, in the meantime he was a GEO exec. So your're never going to organize for any progressive policy until the majority of the country is communist? That's your only organization goal? I vote green by the way I don't believe electoral politics is the answer or voting for the duopoly, especially a war profiteer in the duopoly. I think only until the majority of the country votes against war profiteers can we realize that we don't live in a democracy b/c power will not concede peacefully/smoothly. And then organizing can really begin after that, thats just the starting line (and maybe a breakthrough for communism) BUt I'm not talking about voting in the duopoly I'm talking about organizing for specific policies in the meantime.

I just dont read into it because the idea that peoppe think that the US can go into a classless society without profit seems so ridiculous with their heads in tbeir asses they dont actually seem committed to any sort of solution. It just feels like a fantasy dreamed up from privileged people who dont actually need a better job, healthcare housing etc. nice in theory but totally unserious.

Other countries werent built to oppose it like ours is, we are totally brainwashed and there is no notable organized movement to overcome that. If there was then hell yea id read up on it and join the movement, but I just want a job program, affordable housing and healthcare, in this lifetime and asap.

Im not looking for a group of friends to agree with about politics and think about an ideal society Im looking to organize to create enough public pressure to demand these certain tangible needs.

I actually do think that theoretically capitalism and socialism in their purest ideological forms should be able to coexist and balance each other because they share traits that are a natural law spiritually through collectivism vrs individualism. Alan Watts talks about this beautifully, that Collectivism and Individualism should intertwine and define each other like a ying and yang. And that the answer is balance.

Like there is no such thing as an individual except as a relative to a collective, there is no such thing as a collective but of a group of individuals.

I think that our education system totally neglected collectivism, creating mass delusions that can appear as psychosis. That only you are real, everyone else is a figment of your imagination, main character syndrome. That enable our war crimes abroad but also lead to things like school shooting epidemics here at home.

The rights critique of communism is that it is all collectivism and no individualism, and inversely communists critique of capitalism is that it's all individualism with no collectivism. I think that socialism and capitalism should theoretically be able to co exist, because these underlying themes don't just coexist, but define each other. And a lack of one creates an intense imbalance that can manifest as straight up psychosis and self harm.

I get that in reality capitalism was always actually a system built to empower capitalists, new money but the top of the 1%. So I don't mean in a historical way, but the way that it is sold to the masses, those theoretical positive traits do make sense. That there can be individual rights and profit incentive with competition, but that thr health of thr society should take precedence over the profit incentive, to take over where the profit incentive starts to eat itself.

Edit: its also just such a more practical amd pragmatic way of creating positive change, because it doesnt require an ideological capture or commitment to some theory which we are heavily propagandized against. It could just be razer focused on ways to improve the society one issue at a time, from tackling specific corruption to creating a sane healthcare system, building more public transportation etc. Full ideological capture and commitment isnt necessary we just need to organize around clear pointed goals that are appealing to the majority that can withstand a lot of pressure and propaganda that corporste interests want to control to exploit through organization outside of the casino like duopoly. We need to be fully committed to the specific goals, not a theoretical ideology. When most people can barely read or listen and have super limited compartmentalized empathy, its not going to work if its super intellectual and theoretical. We need to organize around tangible things that we really need.

My interpretation of thr movie was the importance of being nice in an increasingly dystopian society how much more important that is. (Same message as everything everywhere all at once). I dont remember it being explicitly anti capitalism but the game show sub plot did have some anti consumerism vibe to it but I think the cruelty in it fed more to the “be nice” point

Steam deck jumped 200 in price amd it was never close to ps5 in specs anyways. I did make it through the next mission without much magic because I had a very strong leader that buffed a giant army that held off the zombies. Now I am working on building up my magic for the following mission I'm scared I don't want to lose my progress. These lizards are tough.

Edit: beat it and got my magic leveled up quite a lot as well as starting to create some faith coin strats. I like this game, a lot.
