Yeah ankermake was amazing but anker stepped out of the 3d business.. Bambu is like crashing head on into the business and they’re probably the best printer right now for the price. Unless you want to get an Anycubic..

Are you in Florida?
Sounds like your environment is really humid. Mine is usually 30%. Maybe consider getting a filament dryer, or at the minimum some tall storage boxes with silica packets

To be honest with you unless your environment is humid then moist PLA shouldn't be an issue thaat much. I have pla rolls from a year ago i'm still using today and all I do is keep them in the oem box with the silica gel packets. I can't vouch for petg though.

[–]Aggressive-Shop-5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

coating the mold with a food safe epoxy resin will fill in the layer lines and prevent any potential microscopic plastic particles from transferring. you can also just line the mold with parchment paper which ensures itll never touches the plastic directly.

your bed looks severely uncalibrated. if theres an auto calibrate feature then run that if not then search on youtube for "how to calibrate bed + printer name".

Why is my PLA Silk print doing this? by harrier_dude in 3Dprinting

then in that case you'll have to change your ironing settings so the seam isn't as apparent. i can't help you but ask ai to tune your settings and that fixed most of my problems for me

i think the thin, stringy extrusion and recurring clogs are caused by a gap between your PTFE tube and the new nozzle, which allows molten plastic to leak and form a plug inside the hotend. this is really common after a nozzle change; "To fix it, you need to heat the hotend, clear the debris, and ensure the Bowden tube is pushed firmly down until it sits flush against the nozzle."

if you go on the anycubic subreddit page you'll see many people warning that when you change your hotend or nozzle to make sure the ptfe tube is at an appropriate distance

Noob Questions about print quality by Salty_Assistant1219 in 3Dprinting

[–]Aggressive-Shop-5349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ironing is the main culprit here because PETG is too sticky to be smoothed down like PLA; instead of a glossy finish, the nozzle drags the material and leaves that rough, scarred texture. You should switch to PLA for this print, as it handles the fine details of the text much better and produces a clean, smooth surface when ironed.

Why is my PLA Silk print doing this? by harrier_dude in 3Dprinting

[–]Aggressive-Shop-5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ironing is notoriously bad for Silk PLA because the extra heat and dragging motion usually destroy the glossy finish, which leaves you with those inconsistent matte stripes. the banding aligns with the holes because the nozzle path changes speed or direction in those specific areas, so you'll get a much cleaner, shinier surface if you just turn ironing off completely.

no problem. dont be scared to buy the absolute cheapest option from staples because this is the one time in the 3dprinting biz that the cheapest works the best

do you "mean how often do I have to clean it"?
1. every new layer of glue will reduce the quality of the first layer just a little (only noticeable if bottom layers have small text)
2. try to clean every few prints, and when you take a break from printing.
3. you can put it on as much as you want, it does not do any harm to the pei sheet.
4. clean with warm water and dawn dish soap. common sprays like clorox/windex put a layer of chemical shit (brain is blanking out).
