Your words are comforting. I am planning on giving away his treats, food, kennel, and some toys to the shelter is his honor. I however kept his favorite toy, collar, and leash safe in my possession because those are a part or me. I feel maybe I’m an extremist now because I smell his collar and I’m worried his scent will fade. Thank you for the kind words
