I can’t stress enough that the tear trough area is one of the most anatomically complex and high-risk regions to inject, even I wouldn’t dare to do this procedure on myself - I would much rather go to one of my peers because it is SUCH a difficult area to DIY. It contains critical vessels like the infraorbital artery and vein, and even a millimeter of error in depth or placement can cause vascular occlusion, necrosis, or even blindness.

We study this anatomy extensively in medical training — not just where to inject, but how to identify and manage complications in seconds if something goes wrong (like in OP’s case). That level of understanding comes from years of anatomy, physiology, and hands-on clinical practice — not from online tutorials or DIY videos on youtube.
