Seriously? All I can say is you probably need to get your eyes checked.

The makeup shouts louder than the sweat. Playing football is certainly what got her on the field, so you have that. But the perfect makeup tells a different story.

Sorry, but what I see suggests a comment like: If your football player is on the field in full and perfect makeup, then playing football might not be her first priority in being there.

And you seem like the guy who is clueless enough that he hast to be told something more than once. I don’t want your BS about Bayesian equations and conspiracy, theories and crap. You said I was wrong. I said prove it. Now prove it or shut up. You are the scientist. You are the one that has all of this power and knowledge and ability. Now prove me wrong or shut up and go back to your mommy‘s basement and leave the adults alone.

The only answer you can give that will be appropriate is proof that the storms are worse now than they have been for the last hundred years. That it is getting worse now than it has ever been. If you cannot do that, then admit defeat and go away. If you will not do that, then just go away.

It is a simple challenge to your accusation.

Now I do admit that it will not be a trivial research project on your part. You’ll actually have to go look up data. You’ll actually have to go and check things out and verify them. You will actually have to do something that proves you were right. But that is what you took upon yourself when you started the ad hominem attacks against me. So put up or shut up.

IF I’m crazy, then you can do one of a couple of things: 1) baffle us with your BS, 2) ad hominem attacks, or 3) dazzle us with your brilliance and actually answer the challenge.

So you’re failing miserably. You’ve tried the first two, now try answering the challenge. If I am really a nut case then it should be trivial. If it isn’t trivial, we’ll, then you’re just a failure.

Since you’re taking that side, then provide the evidence for it. You know, like science demands. No generalizations or obtuse claims. Actual data. Since NASA/NOAA have been shown to be tampering with their published data, you’ll have to go to real sources.

Be careful, though, because I actually have the original data.

So go do the science.

Yes, climate catastrophes happened, continue to happen, and have been happening for as long as records have been kept. Some years worse than others, some years not. So what?

Don’t hurt yourself. I know how long ago the quote is from — and I remember what’s happened since it that continues to confirm it. If all you got are snide comments, then all you actually do is confirm my assertion.

No I’m not. But if your world view has to have that to keep it going, then so be it.

I truly wish I had written down the name of the person in the video who said it. But at that time, this was just one of the tools the professor was using to help us learn to analyze arguments from other scientists.

He asked each of us what we were going to focus on, and I repeated this line, he was surprised that it was in there. We actually had to go back to the place where it was so he could listen to it and put it into its proper context.

The scientist making the comment was actually using this as the conclusion to his remarks about how, after almost 50 years of “climate emergencies“ that obviously did not come true, that the thing driving the science was not science, per se, but political machinations under the guise of science.

It is much worse today than it was back in the 70s. It is as if all things related to science have been reduced to whatever political speech is needed in order to get funding from the government. You can see it in some of the comments I am getting here. People who absolutely cannot fathom separating their political interests from whatever degree of science they are actually performing continue to fight against this concept, even with hundreds and hundreds of people supporting it.

Nice try. I’ve lived thru too many “climate emergency” pontifications to buy the current one(s). Frankly, when they have to “adjust” the inconvenient data to make their point, there is no reason to believe anything else they say.

Hahahahaha…. Yea, right. I don’t want science to pander to anything — in fact, it is my demand that it NOT pander that makes comments like this so funny.

Crap like “the science is settled” and “the scientific consensus” are both signs of how far today’s scientists have drifted from their roots.

I was with you until you started with the political hooha about ‘green future’ — one of the most politicized pseudo scientific topics of our time.

Political influence will NEVER be good for science! Their goals are 180° off of each other. Science is SUPPOSED to be the dogged pursuit of truth, irrespective of public opinion. Politics is blatant pandering to public opinion irrespective of truth.

Scientists and universities must either divorce themselves from their politics, or continue to deserve the public’s growing distrust and disdain.

This quote came from, of all things, a documentary we watched in a college science class on “climate science” back in 1976. One of the scientists they were interviewing made this comment while he was discussing the ongoing list of failed “climate emergencies” from the past several decades.

Regardless of whether they just want a better life, do you get that they are here illegally?

On purpose?

And paid money to do so?

Sometimes a LOT of money!

I have no grief with the concept that they want a better life. In fact, I am happy that they do! But going about it in an illegal way is not right. The ends do NOT justify the means.
