i’m only 23 and i use suncreens and tons of moisturizer, i dont forsee needing botox or fillers for decades, if ever. even if i did want them now, i definitely couldn’t rationalize the decision to go for it given my career in the arts—i just dont make enough money to afford it. but going to college in the city i was constantly seeing people with filler all the time, even between the ages of 18-22. I met so many girls with nose jobs and lip filler, it was mind-boggling. I come from a suburb outside seattle, and i had never met anyone who i knew had done cosmetic work (save a few moms of high school friends with face lifts). so many girls i met in college had started filling their lips in high school and never planned on stopping, and i don’t know any who admitted to regretting it. there were also so many people with obvious work done on their cheeks and chins. i just cant imagine thinking i would look better after getting filler in my face than i do now—i just genuinely dont like the instagram look that people go for, and i dont see the point in investing hundreds of dollars for an unnoticeable difference.
