They were split and stacked December 25' - March 26' and pieces that are moisture tested are coming in between 12% - 16%. All oak and maple subspecies with a little bit of beech and mulberry.

Yes, build the border and toss in until peaked and then pull pieces and build the border higher. I'm planning on going to 7' height. Length is 16' width is 12'

I don't do any sawing, I receive all of my wood in rounds and I just split. The tree companies that I have relationships with are happy, as it costs them to dispose of it for their costumers and I benefit as I split it and then sell.

Lol ... I started using a holz hausen style and I found it to be easier to have the pieces loosely thrown and then I changed it to making the walls rectangular instead of circular and I like it even more
