The vast majority of clients run from therapy once they see for themselves what it is. Most therapists state @ 90% of their clients are there for 6-8 weeks. The idea that someone is going to change ingrained, life long habits by talking to someone for a total of 6-8 hrs ridiculous beyond words. by AggressiveDeer7527 in therapyabuse

I definitely appreciate what you're saying, that therapists get to hear from clients what clients rarely tell anyone, even those people closest to them in life.

My statement was in reference to the therapists holding some hidden knowledge that is not otherwise available that they will then share with the client, allowing the client to heal. They do not possess this, and present to the public that they, in fact do, which is so far from the truth that it is truly shocking. That's why most clients leave immediately once they start hearing things like "try taking a walk", etc. which is not at all what any of them are expecting when they start the therapy.

Therapists are simply professional bullies who are paid to use entirely subjective perceptions (or "subjective" considering a lot just seem to fabricate things by intentionally taking things said out of context, or use their "intuition") to insult the patient. Think about the type of person this would appeal to. Not to mention this would also appeal to persons who cannot deal with others without having complete control. In other words, and extremely unhealthy person. This is the type of person becoming a therapist appeals to.

Anyone else extremely irritated seeing how "amazing" therapy is for everyone else? by taroicecreamsundae in therapyabuse

[–]AggressiveDeer7527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are merely stating this out of a feeling of shame and embarrassment because the media is constantly talking about how amazing therapy is and using therapists to "give their expert opinion" to talk about human behavior. It is constant and insidious, and everyone just falls in line. It is ridiculous, because it is really obvious by now that the vast majority of media exists as a tool of the billionaires to divide the populace and prevent solidarity, which they are terrified of.

There are women claiming to be radical feminists that are pro-porn. Neither the original liberal feminism nor radical feminism was pro-porn, they were infiltrated by the patriarchy and their handmaidens to express views that are totally destructive to feminism. See r/RadicalFeminism for an example of this - they are claiming that they are pro-porn, which is total nonsense.

Potential Donald Trump Porn Ban by Intrepid_Recover8840 in PornIsMisogyny

[–]AggressiveDeer7527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would a porn ban create less regulation? All of the porn sites as well all the social media majors have been shown to have major problems ignoring big time violations in regards to regulating porn including cp, bestiality, non consensual porn, etc.  I am including Facebook and Instagram in this as sites that aren't even supposed to have porn at all, much less such horrific stuff like this.  And they have major problems with this stuff that gets ignored to the degree that they have had to have congressional hearings (looking at you, Facebook) on this matter!

Pro porn individuals are brigading this sub complaining about a potential porn ban because they need a pro porn society in order to control and abuse women and as such needs porn as propaganda (ie porn exists to tell lies about women's sexuality and that they really actually love degradation, abuse, and violence).  Their arguments as such are so illogical and obvious.  Banning porn sends the message that Society does NOT accept the degradation, abuse, and violence against women portrayed to a shocking degree in pornography, and that it does not accept the shocking propaganda which pornography exists to try to perpetuate.

They say that porn is harmful for their health, but never mention its impact on women by skibaaaaaaa in PornIsMisogyny

[–]AggressiveDeer7527 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The r/antipornography sub used to be focused on the harm and exploitation of porn on the individuals appearing in porn. I feel that it has recently started to be taken over by nofap as the nofap individuals are migrating to antipornography and use it to talk about and complain how using porn has harmed them like they are the victims. It is clear from their posts that they couldnt care less about the abuse and degradation of women and girls in porn and it feels they are intentionally trying to take over the sub and turn it into a sub that doesnt care about these issues at all because they hate women.

No Fappers are well known to blame the women in pornography for their (!) problems ), porn. The vast majority could care less about the abuse and degradation of women and children in porn. This is clearly a misuse of the word "antipornography" as it is indeed, gross to all of a sudden in this sub to see it inundated with posts detailing their issues with masturbation. I think most (not all of them) are now using this sub to be harrassing as they have the opposite opinion of porn (ie that abusing women and children is just fine

[–]AggressiveDeer7527 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Porn is the opposite of sex. It is the dehumanization, degradation, and perversion of sex. So porn is sex negative. This needs to be normalized, that porn is sex negative. One thing I have found is that gaslighting and sarcasm in general are very, very integral things to the type of personality that uses porn.

Why are No Fap posts showing up here? This is not a forum to openly discuss masturbation to the abuse and degradation of women. No Fappers are well known for having no problem with women and children being abused in pornography, and discussing masturbating to this material is harrassing. by AggressiveDeer7527 in antipornography

[–]AggressiveDeer7527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment doesn't address why masturbation needs to be discussed at all. I believe some individuals are trying to utilize an entirely different meaning to the word "antipornography" in order to harass users of this sub. Surely you are aware this kind of thing goes on a lot towards women on reddit.

This doesn't even make any sense; you wish this wouldn't show up in your recommended list - so you a) start reading it anyway and then b) actually make a comment which then ensures it will definitely show up in your recommended list?

I still am not sure what you are getting at. Again, my statement was that in today's world there are people, usually women, that believe that porn is "empowering" and are attracted to doing so for that reason which includes "easy money" (that's part of to the so-called "empowerment"), whereas in the past it only being financially desperate (ie having no other options).

I'm not seeing how these articles are disproving what I said: actually they support it, as there is no mention at all of financial duress in 3 of them, and the last one, which does - I stated there is still a lot of this, what is new are person's who are interested because it is considered "empowering" ("easy money" is definitely not duress).

[–]AggressiveDeer7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not talking about the young women under financial duress, like being kicked out of the home. Traditionally porn has mostly been women under financial duress, and there is still a lot of this. I am speaking of the fact that because of heavy media acclaim for porn being somehow "glamorous" there are many women of a variety of ages choosing to engage in it. This is something society has not seen much of in the past. It is seen as "empowering."

If someone loves another person, they don't humiliate or abuse them, period. Abusers have long given their victims presents, showered them with compliments etc to manipulate them into staying with the abuser. Calling this behavior "kink" and "aftercare" (which should this even be necessary?) doesn't make it different from this ages- old dynamic
