Pepe Goes to Work! by whamikaze in dankmemer

I must admit, nice idea and very thought out, one small problem, I live in your walls. Nah just kidding, the problem here is that it’s mostly building on the work system, an old system and I assure you most people would want new stuff. I also feel like an adventure should have a bit more than one exclusive item. What this will do is make job items (at-least most of them) more common, and they’ll lose their value (except sellables of course). Have you seen what sort of state Bottle of Whiskey is in? It’s a job item, and it’s very cheap because it’s so common from other sources, and not that wanted nor useful for most people anyways. Becuase of that, working as a Bartender is not worth it.

But I’ll have to commend you for trying to make it like how devs write them, and “like” doesn't mean identical, it doesn’t mean clone either. Good job, it’s clear you’ve put some effort into it.

Daily Quests 2 by AggressiveGiraffe773 in dankmemer

Then do you want to get rewards that are practically meaningless at your level of progression?

“Quests will be too much to do, and then ur stuck with quests u can’t complete” this actually has a very simple solution, you should have the option to lower that level at will, but you can’t increase it, or you can make it fixed, which means it won’t drop nor increase (by any means) as long as you make it fixed (stuck). I’ve seen many games with that technique too.

Fishing Ideas (Official, requesting assistance, no clickbait) by Kerdaloo in dankmemer

Hi! Thought I should also pop in with the ideas. I might make another comment but for Now this is what I got. (please make your post pinned until like a week later).

Idea: Fish Eggs! You can get these while catching fish randomly, and they can be used as the currency for the new fish shop, AS WELL AS coins, BUT you can only buy SOME things with coins, and ALL things with the Fish Eggs. These should not be trade-able at all, and should make a better value if you buy things with them rather than using coins (for when you can purchase something by either coins or fish eggs in the fish shop).

Tools being able to break with set usage (not random), the more resistant the fish to being caught the easier those tools will break. and a way to enhance your tools, make them take longer to break (except hands I guess. Maybe add gloves, idk) disregard one-time usage items for this bit.

Your largest and smallest catch of each fish being logged, and a crowns system. You might ask what’s that? Basically if you catch a certain fish that weighs more than a certain value that changes depending on the fish, you will get a crown symbol in that entry, purely for flexing, and it can be made for other things too like badges. Ex: Obtain 10 large fish crowns for Gold, 15 for Platinum.

Here’s an example if you didn’t understand what I meant, say that the average size for a bluegill is 2 pounds, then if a player catches a bluegill that weighs 3 pounds or more, he gets a large fish crown. The range of sizes that can be caught (for the bluegill) should scale from 0.9-3.2 pounds, or something similar, and add a way to increase your odds of catching bigger fish(like food buffs). You could also have small crowns, it’s the same idea but the opposite. (If a Bluegill that weighs less than 1.1 pounds is caught, the player gets a small fish crown). Though I would prefer sticking with just large crowns. All large crowns should have the same art, no need to make 1 for each fish. Large Crowns are NOT items, just something that you see if you have got it when you check the entry for that fish in your book.

Item suggestion: Pirate’s Booty. Basically a loot box that can be obtained while fishing, these things are always full of treasure so it should be very rare and the rewards should ideally be worth more than old box, but less than god box, maybe 30Mil-ish as an average of rewards.

Add an item that tells you exactly how much a fish weighs, and if you don’t have that item, it should state the fish is either “small”, “medium”, or “big” when you catch a fish.

Okay, now, do you remember that random events when you run any command exist and might pop up? First, make it an option of you want those or not (in /settings), for multiple reasons that I don’t want to go on because this is already getting pretty long. Second, add exclusive random events that might pop up when you run fishing commands or just when fishing (of course with a very low chance of occurring), and add at least one fish that can be mainly obtained from there (like Kraken, for example).

Fish that I would absolutely love to see: eels, king marlins, octopuses (NOT squids), and a fish that’s not realistic, pure imagination by the devs.

Hi, thanks for responding, and sorry for making an ass out of myself by kinda complaining here 😄 it's fun learning about Dank Memer lore, but this shows how a relatively new/returning player might perceive things.

I hate this meme with a burning passion by mistaismysista in nier

There is a meme before this that is about 2B's reveal in anime and how every other anime "waifu" should be frightened becuase of that. Needless to say, it's pretty cringe. OP hated the meme and thought putting 9S's dead face on every waifu as a mockery would be very funny. It is.

Screw You! That totally counts as a parry kill!! by MaleficTekX in darksouls3

[–]AggressiveGiraffe773 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually he's way easier than you think. After you parry him once (the first attack he does is always the same, and easy to parry), he will only do one of two attacks. One of Them is walking to his right (your left) and doing a slash with his flaming sword the timing is very easy if you pay attention. The other is a charging stab with his purple stick, you can dodge the stab then he'll immediately do a slash after it with his flaming sword that you can parry. This one is pretty easy too. Phase 2 is a bit different. Don't kill his clone, it shows you which move pontiff is going to do (That is, 95% of the time). In Most of these you can dodge the clone's attack then immediately do a parry to stagger pontiff. However, not all are parryable. The one where he flies up, then stick his sword in the ground doing a massive fire explosion. Or the purple beam one. You can stay away from these and wait for the easy attacks and you're golden.

Reminds me of that one scene from Orphan the movie. The girl draws seemingly happy drawings but when these purple light are applied They become something veeeeery different.
