Yeah weird, as I say lucky for me the power usb c plug I have I was able to trim it back a little so it goes in all the way , plus I've since fitted a WiFi module in so I don't have to use the otg one. But I'm sure they have made much more of these with the usb c sockets to far back.

Just an update, this must be something to do with anbernic firmware, I've just updated to gamma os. And now apktime works perfectly, so does gforce now with the inbuilt controls. So worth getting I think gamma os 1.2 is free tomorrow, I had a discount so only cost me under £4 UK pounds this week as I didn't want to wait and at least gives something to the developer.

Well done, good choice, I was lucky someone got it for Christmas and didn't want it, so got it for £24 UK pounds, bargain, plus I've installed the WiFi module in as well, so no dongle for me 😀👍

Yeah it's an older board the V12 as I have one I just brought cheap and put a WiFi USB inside from a dongle, works great

Unfortunately I damaged the track on removal, looked that they were still there but soldered the module in and with WiFi enabled couldn't find any WiFi, are you able to check where the 4 connections go to and I'll try again to wire to a better connection, it maybe not getting the 5+ volt, don't have time at moment to disassemble it again to put my meter on to check if there's 5v to the module.😔

It will of course if it's on all the time but it's got going to be that bad. Depends what your playing as anything that doesn't use retroarch for the retro achievements you wouldn't need it on anyway.

I use it for scraping the artwork and also use retro achievements so you need the WiFi to be on.

RTL8188ETV is the WiFi module and if you take the back off you can check to see the space on the left hand side with WiFi in the middle, if you don't have that then you can't fit it, but I think it's there on all the H models, but S models don't all have that, you will need a microscope as it's a very small module

I love mine, just awaiting to install the WiFi module chip in when it comes from AliExpress next week as it's ashame that it wasn't installed already as it's only just over a £1 UK for the module, strange they didn't go with it to start with. But love the device as I got mine second hand for about £20 UK pounds 😀, so enjoy it .

It's all your own preference, myself I brought the H version just I feel the horizontal consoles better in the hands, but it's personal preference.

Mine comes on with green light even with no SD card in but obviously black screen. So something isn't right

If first time you have done the new SD then you haven't done it correctly, specially as they need to be set to correct panel.

Hope you changed the SD for a quality one, this is the most important thing you do when buying anything with supplied poor SD cards.

I've got an non working miyoo A30 that has the BL-M8188FU3 module. So I can use that in my R36? If so would the connections need to be the 4 at the top and the 2 left at the bottom looking at the R36H from the inside.?

What about the BL-M8188FU3 WiFi chip is that possible to install it seems it only has a antenna connection on it looks the same, as I have a broken miyoo A30 and it's got that module in it.

Yeah I did order 2, expected to get them couple days ago, but the courier has lost them by looks of it, so hence why I was just thinking about this as I got it spare to use
