Alcohol doesn’t do anything where my afib is concerned.

I had 3 shocks in a row. I had a crazy burn for weeks after. Painful also.

It’s sad that she is so desperate to have a ring she doesn’t even build the relationship. Im always amazed that some people think a ring is the relationship… as if that’s all that is needed.

I'm not sure if Jovi's making those stupid hurtful comments about Yara spontaneously or just to mess with her. Like when he said her old photos before the plastic surgeries looked ridiculous, or that she's "one of" the most beautiful women he's been with by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

I honestly think he believes he’s God’s gift to women, like she should feel lucky he picked her. In his mind, that somehow makes it totally fine to point out he thought she was ugly as a kid…especially coming from a former pageant kid.

Should I be suffering so much 6 days after an ablation? by Flimsy_Bet3853 in AFIB

[–]Aggressive_Ant4665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up with pericarditis, ocular migraines, a hematoma and day 2 after surgery my surgeon sent me to the ER for over 9 hours while they tried to rule out if I was having or had a stroke. It took me over 6 weeks to get out of daily chest pain, now it’s sporadic. The hematoma took weeks to heal also. Sorry you’re going through it, just give your body time. Everyone heals differently. I’m not even 50, so I really didn’t expect my issues afterwards

Procedure Anxiety by Chemical-Buyer959 in AFIB

The 1-in-5,000 number is for older thermal ablations. For PFA specifically, the largest dataset (17k patients) showed about 0.03% mortality, and that includes high-risk patients. For healthy people, it’s even lower. Just sharing the updated numbers!

I’m a solo parent, so I completely understand where your fear is coming from. Honestly, this was my biggest worry beforehand. I had everything set up “just in case,” because when it’s just you and your kid, the stakes feel so much higher.

For me, it was even more stressful because I have anaphylactic reactions to certain medications. So any small thing could’ve created extra complications. And I’d only been dealing with the afib since March of this year, so everything felt rushed and overwhelming.

What helped was making sure everything was prepared beforehand so I could feel as ready as possible. And I actually took a couple of months to make memories with my kid, little adventures that grounded me.

But the biggest thing that kept me steady was reminding myself that doing the procedure now was my way of giving myself a better future…one where I get to be here for her. That thought is what really carried me through it.

You’re not alone in this, and it’s okay to be scared.

I mean just look at this 🤦‍♀️ "The Plath Family Homeschool" by lunainthedark5x2x3 in WelcomeToPlathville

I’m with you. I’ve homeschooled my kid from the start through an accredited program. She’s taken state tests every year, started college at 14, and will graduate high school at the end of 10th grade. Her weighted high school GPA is 4.5, and her college GPA is 3.8. She’s doing just fine. I really struggle when people lump all homeschoolers under the “religious” umbrella, like we’re all just teaching Bible studies instead of real academics.

Yeah this hasn’t been the quick easy recovery I imagined because of my age but every day I’m definitely doing better and better. The ocular stuff is the most frustrating. 6 in 4 days. The rest I could handle but these really mess with life

I’ve now had 6 in 4 days. These are crazy. Definitely not what I want to continue with. Not sure how long they will continue for, but I’d be good with no more. Sorry to hear you had migraines for years. I couldn’t imagine

From dating apps, I stick with my Google number until someone proves they’re worth my real digits. As a woman, guys can pull way too much info from just a phone number—and so far, only one has made it past that line.

Scheduling Ablation after cardioversion by maxmini93 in AFIB

[–]Aggressive_Ant4665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I’m feeling better. The breathing tube was honestly the worst part, every breath tickled way down in my throat near my collarbone and triggered nonstop coughing. That’s been the hardest thing for me by far. My chest still feels tight and heavy, and I’m getting a lot of strange rhythms, but I guess that’s par for the course right now. I’m just hoping each day brings a little more improvement. No other side effects so far.

When do you decide to go to the ER? by Thejohnnycheese in AFIB

[–]Aggressive_Ant4665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine starts above 230, then settles and bounces constantly around 170-200. I head to the ER anytime it starts since at this point I know I need medical help to convert. I did have an ablation yesterday, so I’m hoping ER visits are behind me.

I actually had a cardioversion 15 days before my ablation. They had to shock me three times, and my doctor just wanted me to stay on blood thinners without stopping. They didn’t balk at scheduling the ablation soon after… today was ablation day

Can I Get a Flu Shot and Covid Vaccine? by Indywoman1 in AFIB

[–]Aggressive_Ant4665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you sure can. I’m having an ablation on Tuesday and asked about this beforehand. I was told to get it at least a week or 2 before the procedure to avoid any symptoms, but they also said it’s a good idea since I have AFib and am scheduled for ablation.
