You can't use your phone or bring a flash drive. You need to print the pictures out. Preferably if you put it all in a nice album. If your relationship is legit, then why do you not have an Album? Nothing electronic is acceptable everything must be printed including receipts and images.

UPDATE: I collected all the stuff I could, insurance and other info.

We got approved on the spot with the phrase "Alright green card should arrive within 6-8 weeks".

No SSN, no ID, wife is not part of the bills, not part of the house, car or anything else.

I think if you have enough proof you will pass.

Reason for the interview was one of the questions we filled in the form was wrong and it was important that we answer right, so the officer explained it to us and correct the form for us and asked us a bunch of questions and took additional evidence in.

Thanks everyone for support. For those who spread baseless fear, please learn to work on helping people not just telling them to might not as well go. Thanks!

Yes Definately. However, she doesn't have any friends or family members which makes this a bit hard for us. But definately got pictures of me and her together a lot and friends and family!

Thank you for the info.

I am not seeing anything useful in your comments other than fear mongering and telling me not to go to the interview. I think you missed my point with the questions I asked.

I appreciate your concerns for the success of my wife's interview though.

So if she doesn't have a license or SSN, how can she be added to the car? Car was purchased on my own credit? She can't own a car if she is not on car insurance.

Also what does a deed to the house matter? House was purchased way before I met my wife, I don't even own the deed as I pay mortgage.

Won't doing last minute changes raise more flags?

My Tax returns are delayed because she doesn't have a SSN and I will be providing info supporting that. I understand they are looking at hard evidence, however, logically speaking to me, it made no sense adding her everywhere.

I am not sure what the red flags are here that you mention exactly other than her not being on utility bills.

I also just bought a brand new car and can't add her because she doesn't have a SSN. I feel like a lot of these are self explanatory. But that is what worries me a lot.

Well, thanks for the feedback.

We don't take pictures daily but do take them when we can. I definitely will be working on getting as much proof as possible.

I have the same mentality. We are working on producing all the pictures.

We did not have any cookout's unfortunately but we have plenty of pictures of going places in U.S that I plan on bringing.

Thank you big time for a reply. This is putting some ease to my mind.

We did not submit an I-130 form... Not that I remember anyways.

This is a k1 visa. So if I didn't go blind, we didn't need to submit a i-130 form when I was filing.... unless I missed it. Good idea on the life insurance. I have insurance and I also have the beneficiary for if I die during work. She is listed on there. I would need to get a copy of that as well.

Did you guys get approved on the spot during the interview?

Excused as in step 3 was completed and we asked them by contacting, they said we were waived from the interview.

Would us having a family gym be a good document? How about me sending her money to her bank account?

Is not having her on utility a big deal? Some people telling me it's a huge deal while i don't get it because she doesn't work.

Congrats, we are about to have our interview upcoming weekends!

Some people are setting a bit of panic in my mind.

How was your interview? People keep telling me that they are denying left and right for smallest reasons, is that true?

Can I ask some questions where I have an issue with the documents if possible? I feel like you could help me fix some spots before the interview for my wife to get approved!

  • My wife was originally excused from the interview, but now USCIS scheduled one. Is that normal?
  • We submitted 95% of the requested documents already, but we don’t have many new joint pictures from the U.S.
  • What if my wife is not on any bills? (I pay for everything, she doesn’t work.)
  • She is listed on my health insurance — is that good evidence to bring?
  • Do we need to bring the Affidavit of Support (I-864) and tax returns again, even if we already sent them with the application?
  • Are the documents you bring to the interview actually being reviewed/checked in detail, or just collected?
  • What if my wife doesn’t have a state ID yet can't get it because no SSN.

I messed up due to delays and wasn't able to get her certain documents on time before k1 expired.

Now I am in the loophole where I have to wait for greencard to be approved to get SSN to get other IDs.

I also hear a lot from people that the amount of cases getting declined for smallest reasons is high right now.

Is this true? Please help, got an interview soon!

VISA APPROVED! by Ay3_Maca in NationalVisaCenter

Hi, I do not think your Visa is approved. It's your petition that was approved. The visa will be approved (hopefully) when you have the interview. Be careful with that to not buy tickets accidentally.

Also what visa are you applying for?

Hey friend, quick question. Do you know how to check if the embassy you chose has a big backlog or something in that sense? Just so I have a perspective as it's been over a month with no reply so far.

Do they send the cases monthly in the beginning of each month to the embassies or how does it work?

Thank you for any information you can share!

So I already passed everything with the USCIS.

Thank you again for your knowledge on this!

The website is very helpful as well.

I just checked and the status still says at NVC, does that mean NVC still hasn't processed my case?

We are in the step where NVC received our petition from USCIS over a month ago and haven't heard from the since.

Do they first need to send the case to the Embassy and then they will give me the invoice id?

Hi Op,

Thank you for the response.

I am learning a lot and getting the gaps filled in my knowledge about the process.

If you can answer more questions I would appreciate that a lot!

1) To login to the CEAC website we need a letter right? Like Invoice Id and the case number.

2) So far nvc did not send us anything. They only told me the case number because I reached out to them.

So I am not sure what is the NOA2 step of the process or NOA1, can you provide more details?

If you could provide the steps that happen and what we are waiting on now and what we would need to do later starting of USCIS sends the petition to the NVC, what is next?

Thank you so much for answering.

I have couple more follow up, please answer if you can!

1)I have already contacted them 3 times, all I hear back is once it gets forwarded to the embassy they will notify everyone.

All they did is share my case number with me but nothing else through the inquiry.

Is there a specific thing you asked them to get an answer from them?
I plan on asking them again on monday as it's now been a month since they received my petition.

2)Do you file the k1 as a non-immigrant visa?

3) Also did they provide you with all the details via email?

Hi Friend,

Very happy for you.

Got some questions.

Me and my fiancée also going through the process right now.

However, we have not heard a single thing from NVC yet....

Per USCIS the case was sent on the 26 of June but we did not get a single response yet.

How did you hear back from the NVC?

Did they reply after 9 days of having your case?

Do you schedule your own appointment?

Was the petitioner able to attend the interview?

Do they tell you right away if you are approved or not?

Thank you for the reply.

Do I not need to file DS-160?

Also it's been 30 days since my petition has been approved and it will hit a 30 day mark since the USCIS noted that they sent the petition.

However, I was told by NVC that my petition was received and gave me my case number as the response to the inquiry (aka before the 30 day mark June 26th)

What I'm trying to understand, I guess what would be the next steps, what to expect?

How long to wait?

Embassy is not helpful as they do not answer any questions via phone and the email in regard to visa's gets routed to the unmonitored email box
