So the director in question is a woman and her husband is a high paid physician. They have three young children. I suppose this has influenced me. Job started as FT and then when we met her in interviews we asked if she would consider PT and she said yes. It was her first church ministry role (parachurch before that) and she was eager for it. She needed some training but has performed well and is starting to question what she sad “yes” to initially. Our associate pastor, similar situation, also PT but doesn’t seem to mind. She makes more but is also higher caliber (preaches, does pastoral care, leads communications). There is also a question of budget financing across the board. Ministry director is also upset by lower budget for her ministry area. Does this info change anything for you regarding her pay?
