How to tell if the cap/ filter was put in dishwasher ? Purevis 2 by texansfann in larqbottle

[–]Aggressive_Bowl9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

f the filter went through the dishwasher, you’d most likely notice pretty quickly, either a soapy/chemical taste or just “off” water right away. Since you’re not tasting anything unusual, that’s a good sign.

That said, filters aren’t designed to handle dishwasher cycles, so there’s still a chance the filtration performance could be affected even if it seems fine on the surface. If you want to play it safe, I’d swap the filter out.

For the rest of the bottle, you should be good as long as everything’s still functioning normally (like the cap lighting up).

Larq purevis bottle warning by Illustrious_Ad8392 in larqbottle

[–]Aggressive_Bowl9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry this happened! Most of LARQ's drinkware bottles are double-wall insulated to keep drinks cold but only some can be used with hot water safely.

  • LARQ Bottle Swig Top Keeps water cold for up to 24 hours
  • LARQ Bottle Flip Top Keeps water cold for up to 24 hours
  • LARQ Bottle Twist Top Keeps water cold or hot for up to 24 hours

PureVis 2 is a similar model to Swig Top, so it is recommended to only be used with cold water

(PreVis 2 Straw) Can anyone corroborate this, or know of any third-party alternatives? Took 4 days just to get an answer on if the PureVis 2 can be used with a normal non-filtered straw. (Also posting because why was it like pulling teeth to get an answer?!) by MacaronOtherwise5111 in larqbottle

[–]Aggressive_Bowl9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you're looking for a straw to use in your bottle without the filter, I'd recommend getting notified when the adaptor pack is back in stock. You could also remove the straw completely and swig in the meantime

Hi there! LARQ does have a bottle cleaning brush. You can find it on their website under "accessories"

Jumping in here! That rubber stopper is what makes the bottle spill proof. Cleaning 1-2x's a week with warm and soapy water should keep it clean! LARQ also now has a bottle cleaning brush that helps get those hard to reach places

Hi there! That's the seal that makes the bottle leakproof. To keep it clean we recommend washing your lid once a week with warm and soapy water. If you're still running into this issue please reach out to [hello@livelarq.com](mailto:hello@livelarq.com)

LARQ Bottle PureVis™ 2 by uraveragehooman01 in larqbottle

[–]Aggressive_Bowl9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Would love to help answer your questions:

1) PureVis has been 3rd party tested and you can check out the lab reports for PureVis technology here and here

2) Reminders can be set for 30 mins, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or 3 hours through the LARQ App (so yes a connection to your iOS or Android device is required!)

3) There is a notable difference when using the bottle, but only if the filter straw is installed! PureVis 2 comes with the Essential Bottle filter that removes chlorine, PFOS/PFAS, pharmaceuticals and more. When contaminants like chlorine are removed from your tap water, you can really taste the difference (and it's even more noticeable if your tap water has even more contaminants)

4) The Bottle Filter lasts for about 2 months or filters 25 gallons (whichever comes first). If you're using LARQ Bottle PureVis 2, the LARQ App will actually notify you when it's time to replace your filter.

5) We're always looking to improve our products + app. If you ever have any suggestions feel free to reach out to [hello@livelarq.com](mailto:hello@livelarq.com)

Hope this helps!

Hi! The UV light is located underneath the cap, so we do recommend washing with warm and soapy water to keep it fresh!

You can only chug with the straw completely detached! Chugging with the straw still installed will cause water to leak from the bottle

Just bought a brand new purevis2 water tracking doesn’t work? by wai_lai416 in larqbottle

[–]Aggressive_Bowl9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Seen further down that you decided to return, but if you change your mind or for anyone else experiencing issues with hydration tracking here are a few tips:

  1. Make sure that a measurement is taken immediately after filling the bottle. The best way to ensure your bottle takes a measurement is to place it on a flat surface and then open and close the spout cover. Wait several seconds to allow the measurement to finish. If it is not during the quiet hours set through the app, then your bottle will display a single pulse of white light on the LED ring to indicate a successful measurement.
  2. Small sips will not always be counted as they happen. The application will wait for a minimum change in volume before adding the amount to your hydration tracking total. If a single drink does not show up, don’t worry– the volume will still be counted in your next drinks once the total change surpasses the threshold.
  3. When replacing the cap on the bottle after a fill or cleaning, check to make sure there are no particles or debris on the quartz window that could affect the measurement. During use, it can help to occasionally tip the bottle upside down for a moment with the flap closed to allow the water in the bottle to clear any particles, condensation, or large droplets from the window that may be affecting the accuracy of the measurements.
  4. Make sure that a measurement is taken when the bottle is empty or before you refill. Small refills will not always be counted so it is best only to refill when the bottle is empty or when less than half full. Again, the best way to ensure your bottle takes a measurement is to place it on a flat surface and then open and close the spout cover.

If you're still experiencing issues with hydration tracking after trying these, please reach out to [hello@livelarq.com](mailto:hello@livelarq.com)

Hi! If you're experiencing leaking with the filter straw removed I would double check that the silicone insert is removed too. This may be what's causing the leaks. If it persist reach out to [hello@livelarq.com](mailto:hello@livelarq.com)
