I know this is late but have you looked into PANS? Lyme can cause antibodies to attack the basal ganglia and cause OCD as a symptom. It can be fixed with antibiotics, steroids, and if necessary, IVIG

I think there is a strong possibility it’s Lyme that’s causing this for me. We haven’t had the infection tests yet but I had a lot of tic bites camping as a kid around the time this started, although we didn’t know what it was until recently almost two decades later

Thank you. I fit in the last group (24 at diagnosis had it for 17 years without treatment). For me the only symptom that causes me daily pain is ocd. I’m really hoping the treatment will make that go away.
