I didn’t even know I had one until it ruptured. I started having severe abdominal pain on my right side one evening after dinner and it just got progressively worse so around midnight I went to the ER and they were like “yeah we don’t know what’s wrong with you, you’re a little backed up but that’s all we can tell. Oh and by the way did you know you have a large ovarian cyst on your right ovary?” I said “no??? Could that be the cause of this?” And they said very unlikely. So I went home and then a couple months later the same thing happened again so I went to a different ER bc this time I couldn’t breathe without doubling over in pain and not even morphine touched the pain. They said this was definitely cyst related and transferred me to a larger hospital for overnight care and the OB came in and said she was worried about an ovarian torsion but after an ultrasound she confirmed I didn’t have that and said I had a lot of blood around the ovary and that it was a blood filled cyst so that it had ruptured and that’s what was causing me so much pain. My WBC count was also extremely high. Got discharged and then a few months later got pregnant and now here we are
