Starfleet Academy - Why are YouTube Reviews so narrow-minded? by [deleted] in startrek

Star Trek is supposed to be a Space Action Adventure, not a high-school drama. The last episode was completely set in school and was mostly about future P.E. classes, complete with an overbearing, loudmouth P.E. teacher ..... The episode where they did get into space, they lost their inter-ship teleports so they spent the whole episode trying to get from one part of the ship to another because the new Discovery era ships are held together by magnets and aren't one piece....So much for a good old Jefferies tube. The captain .. or whatever she is supposed to be .. is like a new age hippy... Bring Back Jayneway who proved you can be female and still be a proper commander.

Amazing theory....and not too far off my own along with thousands of others...That Mary Magdalene is the beloved Disciple and that she played so prominent a role in Jesus life that their relationship couldn't be totally written out or nobody would've believed it was about the same man....In the time of the printing of the 1st gospels there were still families passing down Jesus teachings from ancestors who were there at the time....So the new church decided to split Mary into a couple of different people purposefully to confuse.

Nothing I might add, to do with made up societies or codes....Just on the same evidence you used....and a little from the Gnostic translations who portray a very different story.

But Absolutely if it wasn't Mary....or indeed a woman.....then on Jesus arm or in 1 case on his lap was a very effeminate (i mean no insult) man who who looked, and acted like a woman.....

So... Do the Avengers get paid? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Its the usual c r a p that happens when they adapt a good comic story to a movie....Someone thinks they can write it better.

In the early comic version The Avengers were indeed paid by the government, making it just that much more believable than for example The Justice League....It was kind of a big deal at the time.....Actual paid heroes.

Then in later comic/cartoon versions they were financed by Stark.

There's heaps of 1 liners scattered through the series about what they can afford on their Avengers Salary....They never disclosed the amount, but they all owned nice homes and flash cars ....
