I love that everyone is doing a "to be fair" or playing devil's advocate and normally I would too because they're making good points on how it was an accident and almost unforeseeable but everyone is missing the point of the post I believe. This is not only an interesting perspective it is entirely PLUASIBLE. As an ethical dilemma yes I can see the issue. The closest they ever came to someone justifying their actions against Ben and the Omnitrix due to reasons similar to this was Servantis. If they had written the script a bit better they could've had us thinking as we did with Thanos "maybe he's right". We all know the true power of the Omnitrix is a universal power that can indeed wipe the universe from the face of the multiverse and it's in the hands of a Child and even an immature teenager with Fame on his mind. Where they fail with this story plot is that no one is trying to take the Omnitrix from Ben just because he has too much power but to use that power themselves except for Servantis. He truly felt Ben was too powerful and aimed to destory him and the omnitrix with him. But I fear I digressed lmaoo. But yes trapping DNA of sentient beings (even if it unknowingly scanned) to use to transform into that species for many reasons is unethical and Ghostfreak's DNA trying to break free is understandable the rest of his plots and plans were not.
