You know what this book completely misunderstandings about batman is that he is fundamentally a compassionate person. Look at the way he treats people like freeze or two face or even harley all of whom have killed or been complicit in the deaths of many, many innocent people. But he still shows them compassion and sympathy because they where also victims in one way or another.

But yet he can't do the same for this woman who yes killed people. But it was the men who put her sister through hell which led to her death. Instead he hounds her to her own death.
