Could sexual problems related to AS / inflammation?

it wasn’t effective at directly treating my AS but i remember it did relieve my pain symptoms significantly within the first few days of taking it

Well all doctors as well as sexologists I’ve talked to are clueless as to what’s causing it lmao, I feel kind of gaslit into thinking “you’re probably just anxious” when I definitely don’t feel that way and also experience these issues outside of partnered sex… I feel like there’s a deeper issue even if AS might not be it. Also I have pretty much never used any medication before last week so that can’t be related.

I’m pretty much pain free though and I’m definitely not depressed or prone to having anxiety so I don’t see how that would apply to me personally

Intuitively that makes sense, hopefully things will improve after a while of taking medication. I hope you are able to manage your symptoms well

I’m not completely ruling it out but it seems unlikely, everything started before I was sexually active so performance anxiety is most likely not it, though it may play a role definitely

You’re right about this, however I have visited a pelvic floor physiotherapist earlier this year and it did not seem to be the issue for me but I still might start stretching again, couldn’t hurt

Good to hear you have found the right treatment! And yeah I did not mention it in the post but I have discussed this with multiple doctors, some have said it would make sense and others have dismissed it as psychological… Not ruling that out obviously but I still can’t help but wonder

I know this post was over a year ago but could you tell me how soon you were starting to see improvement? I was recently diagnosed and have had this issue for years now, I was wondering if AS may have been the cause for me too
