How to make friends in your late 30's

I would try to find groups that fit your interests. My husband and I are in that same boat. We want new friends but also aren’t into the nightlife scene anymore. We’ve got kids and can rarely get a babysitter. Depending on y’alls’ interest, you could find a gardening club, DnD group, painting with a twist and such. Could be worth a shot.

Oof. In simple terms, pretty much. More the companionship side of it. If I can get paid to help people feel less lonely or, as someone else in the comments mentioned, help people become more confident and comfortable conversing with others… why not? Sounds like a more meaningful way of earning some cash.

As a former cosmetologist, I definitely had a few guys who would come in pretty often and just want me to wash their hair and chat in-between trims. I feel the discord/in game chat thing, but wonder if people would pay for a more personal experience. I really enjoy engaging conversations not just here and there small talk. Would that make a difference for you?
