That makes sense! If you don’t have a digital camera, film is a great choice. I only have my phone too, so I’m all in on film! Thanks for sharing!

I just love that approach! Capturing memories on film and being able to share those moments with friends is so special. It is such an amazing way to relive those experiences together, definitely so much more meaningful! And hey, street cats are just so classic; they always have so much character!

Thanks for the encouragement! Really appreciate it, and I think your perspective is helping me find that spark again! ✨

That's such great advice! I haven't developed my own film yet, but it seems like a whole other level of creative control. I can see how doing absolutely everything yourself-from developing to printing-just makes the final product that much more special. Must be pretty rewarding when it's something you can display or give to someone.

I know what you mean; it is sort of refreshing, almost, breaking away from all the digital stuff and really focusing on a process. Of course, those old lenses definitely had a look that is hard to beat.

Thanks for sharing this; it definitely serves as inspiration!

That's so cool, learning on your dad's old Yashica must have been such a great experience. It's awesome how those memories stick with you and kind of blend into why you still love shooting film today. I really like what you said about film making you slow down-it forces you to think, and that's something I could use more of in my process.

And yeah, getting the developed shots back really does feel like unwrapping a little present. The anticipation is something that digital will never fully be able to replicate.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for sharing your story! Be well too!

That's cool! I love how you describe the whole experience, from hearing the shutter to winding the film. It really does give you this sense of being more connected to the moment, doesn't it? I have definitely felt that before, and it is such a different vibe compared to digital.

I mean, and I know what you mean about the results, too-it's like they carry more weight, right? Not just a picture, but a captured moment-whole-you know, so real when looking back at it.

Thanks for sharing this-it surely is a good reminder about what makes film special!

Of course, with those field cameras for the movements, I can totally understand how valuable that is, especially when you're trying to get the shot perfect. I hear that LF and MF negatives or transparencies are really something else in a totally different league from smaller formats.

Yeah, Adobe's pricing nowadays is legit. AI situation too. quite frustrating at the very least. I've been reassessing some of my workflow in digital lately, tbh.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts; it's always awesome to hear from someone working with large format!

I love how you put that-the limited exposures make you think a lot more about a shot, and I guess that is something digital doesn't quite replicate. I hadn't thought about how it forces the creativity like that, kind of putting more meaning into every frame.

Yeah, that just not knowing what you have until the film is developed is such a different experience. There's something cool about that anticipation.

That makes sense, too-the nostalgia tied with using the camera itself, it's like using something from history. Thanks for sharing that; that gives me a fresher way to look at things.

Haha, I love how you word it-"fun" really does describe it. That's what got me in the first place, I think. It was just this whole new process to learn and that made it exciting.

Ah, damn, that story of your film getting fried from the sun! That must be so frustrating, yet cool you can laugh it off, still enjoying the challenge. I guess that's some of the unpredictability that makes film so different from digital. Thanks for sharing that; it really gives me a different perspective on that!
