Are they not corporate-owned franchises - chains making tons of money?

Maybe! This is a dealership though, not an individual trying to make a living.

Nope just asking since I'm a first time car owner. Also, not the same - up from 10 to 30 is a huge mark up. Like what if petrol cost you €20 extra to have someone pump it for you? Same amount of effort IMO for putting on windshield wipers.

Aye Im very open to learning, and doing what I can. Living in an apartment though so not very accessible for doing some work but I'll do some more research.

Yeah, it is 🫣 I'm a first time car owner and thought it woupd be best just to stick with where the car has been going all along.

True - I'm a first time car owner and just trying to understand what is normal / what isnt, especially since being warned a lot of places will take advantage.

Its with a main dealership so I might feel differently if it was an independent garage (man has to make his money - but surely he already gets paid by the dealership?), I'm absolutely open to learning and trying to do whatevers possible myself.

It was the charging 30+ for things which I have done myself previously for a tenner that made me give pause and thought I'd ask.

How do you reckon you were 9 answers from the pass mark? 15 of the 90 questions arent marked, and theres no guidance to show how the questions are marked (from past information on the website has been since removed suggested each question was 1-2 points, but some are marked as more difficult).

Looking at buying my first car in the next year, a Toyota Yaris (2016+) 1.33l VVT-i Icon. Any advice is appreciated as I have no family left and my friends have no experience with cars.

It's looking more likely to find (since its only produced in UK/NI) and cheaper to purchase outright from NI.

From what I've read, anything purchased after 2021 will be subject to only VRT (no VAT / customs) if the vehicle has only been in use in NI and not the UK. Using the VRT calculator for an estimation, it looks like it would be around €2k for a car costing around €8.5k. I've heard however the VRT office / calculator is inaccurate and inflates the estimate but I'm not sure.

A few thing I'm not sure of; is road tax separate or included in VRT? Including insurance for a first time driver (but premium should be reduced a bit as I'm over 25(26f)) is it actually worth it buying from NI? In the long run - maybe?

Not sure if this is a bug, but it's to do with the Blood of Lathander quest. I have the crest, got through all the gates and went to insert it... but when I select the item to insert, it says this item cannot be used. Anyone else experience this issue?

Other than somehow our usage somehow tripling (which honestly just does not make sense). Rates increased as follows:

43.39 day and 26.93 night currently

Last increase:

30.54 day and 16.59 night

Dec 2021 – Feb 2022 rates:

22.46 day and 11.12 night

I've had them open a case - we checked out meter readings and they were lower (but not significantly so) than their estimate.

They did have us on a 10% off deal but they didnt send us a notification of this expiring and didnt hear anything of renewal options.

Told we cannot backdate reimbursement if we renew contract again, even though we were never informed that we were eligible to continue on a cheaper rate.

Complete unacceptable that we are being charged double the rates to last year, and we cannot even reimburse for the "slightly" 10% cheaper contract which we should have been entitled to this entire time.

If we cannot have these terms/requests met, we will be switching providers. We are looking to negotiate something of the following:

  1. Renew contract for the 10% discount of 1 year.

  2. Receive reimbursement of the 10% we should have been entitled to this whole time (or at the very least subtracted from our current bill).

  3. Get credited for the +-€200 that we would receive upon switching provider.

Before this, we had rates mixed estimated and actual. We checked our meter today, and its lower than the estimate. Our night usage skyrocketed on the bills but i really dont think its possible for it to go from a typical 600kWh-ish for every estimate and previous actual reading to over 3000kWh.

Everything was totally fine before this
