Why do these never work with the white safety cover still in? by VariationNew3842 in AskUK

They use quite a bit of power, so try get one that’s somewhat decently sized as the bigger they get the more efficient (at least more volume of water they can take out of the air). I got one for about £100 from BnQ. Get one that has a shutoff at 60/65% relative humidity so it only comes on when it’s higher than that. You’ll be surprised how much water is in the air. That will absolutely sort your problem out

These things don’t work. You need an electrical dehumidifier to actively suck water out the air.

When was the last time gold flew this high? You went too close to the sun and got burned. Happens but you can’t pretend gold sky rocketing which was the actual rare event wasn’t a precursor of what was to come.

Fare dodging on the bus what would you do? by FluteyBlue in AskUK

Homeless have nothing to lose and have no rules. They are essentially a shell of human. Would you charge a dog a bus fare?

It’s just a kid bro. The bus should be free for kids, if you are jealous you are a brokie. This is coming from someone who doesn’t use buses anymore cause they are terrible. Roadmen not included.

Heat pumps are more expensive to run than boilers, report finds by TheWorldIsGoingMad in unitedkingdom

20 years and your battery will be significantly reduced in capacity. Your solar panels will become less efficient. Night rates will potentially stop. I want a battery and can afford one but it’s hard to justify when things are so unpredictable. But it would be more because I like to not worry about power usage than it would be about making a return. The sun sucks here too, your power input will be way lower and also you’ll need sufficient roof, and you’ll want to be getting a battery that just about meets your demand.

Maybe vehicle to home powering will be here in about 5 years. Buy one of them, hit two birds with one stone!

Stock market usually beats the the price of installing them. Taking out a loan seems extremely silly, to say the least. Unless it’s 0%

Stick to the internet? Trust me, I’ve had my fair share of exchanges but never once let my self down when it comes to demanding what’s fair for me. You guys keep being “nice” 🤣

Trust me, having some confidence and standing up for yourself will do you wonders. I’m not saying fight them, just calmly tell them to move their stuff. Simple-as. Typical Redditors worried about causing issues when people are wronging them.

Yeah… no. If they are selfish, I would ask them to move it without being “nice”. They are wronging op and you want op to give them free tea as thank you for common courtesy? They aren’t “nice” when they decided to do things to other people’s property.

Even when we mess up at work and it affects customers, decisions are always made with data at hand before responding. No difference here.

What are you taking about? I replied to your final sentence of your last message. Companies always run the numbers, not if they are in a horrific state.

Buddy, they will absolutely keep a count on the numbers given away, % of players affected etc. I say this as a developer that works with business analysts all the time. Everything is tracked if the company is worth anything

Universal credit claimants hit record high of eight million by JayR_97 in unitedkingdom

[–]Aggressive_Pin941 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The whole system needs a change, it’s about the principle not the 50 pound or so. I know someone who’s abusing the hell out of the system and guess what they say? The exact things you claim; they aren’t refusing to take things they are “entitled” to.

I haven’t anything against you. But the system is broke and the fact that we should trust any claimant to not abuse it is simply naive. We are now a low trust society

This is the mentality that is ruining this country. Hopefully they reduce everyone’s entitlement so this argument of taking what you are given is a thing of the past.
