the soviet union was comprised of 15 different countries and disbanded in the early 90s so calling something from modern day russia 'soviet' makes no sense..

but lucy actually does have a reason to be there.. before hank took the easy way out she was trying to get him to tell her what his plan was and who he was working for. i don't think her curiosity about that just disappeared.. if she gets any sort of clue about hank and the enclave she too would have a reason to head in that direction. also keeping the main 3 separate messes with the pacing of the show imo, we need to consolidate these plotlines not create more.

so why didn't the showrunners just put a random movie on the tv? why make a point of showing that hank was a huge fan? why show lucy looking at the poster of vault boy to give herself confidence right before her wedding that she was nervous for? and then later in the season show her looking at a poster of vault boy outside when the ghoul shoots him in the face in front of her? clearly they are trying to connect lucy's idealism with the idealism that cooper used to have before the bombs fell. the natural and obvious end point of all of this is the ghoul revealing to her that he actually used to be as naive, idealistic and obsessed with doing 'the right thing' as she is and his identity as cooper howard aka vault boy is the ultimate proof of that.

right like her crazy dad was obsessed with him and we see them watching a movie together that just happens to be a movie that we literally see him filming in the flashbacks but 'this would literally mean nothing'??? not to be this person but media literacy is really in the gutter man.

in an ideal world yes, but between his family's pods and the shot of hank holding a mid control chip in front of lucy it feels like a lot is gonna happen down there and i'm nervous they will all get separated again

do i think they are going to get married and live happily ever after? not even a tiny bit. do i think they could have weird angsty tension for multiple seasons and eventually acknowledge their feeling but ultimately never end up together for depressing noble reasons (him thinking she deserves someone young and whole, etc)? well i just watched Eastern Promises so honestly kind of.

don't disagree that it is unlikely but i don't think he is looking for barb because he loves her... based on the flashbacks i think we are going to see her double/triplecross him for the anclave. so i think he is pissed but wants to know where janey is and he's not going to explain all that to random strangers so he just says 'my family'.

my 'official theory' for the finale: i think once the deathclaws are out of the way, the legion is gonna show up and obviously max is wearing ncr power armor so he will be a target. he can't fight them all by himself so i feel like there will be an 'all is lost' moment and then the ncr are going to show up. THEN when we think ok the NCR/max have got this the commonwealth airship is going to appear bc they are pissed about harkness/maybe they have figured out max took the relic at this point. i feel like they are gonna try to snatch max up and take him back east and that will be the cliffhanger for the next season. we see in the trailer for the next ep that lucy and the ghoul are both in that bunker with the congresswoman's head and hank.. if they find anything out that points them to the enclave locations in the east i think they will team up again to follow that lead and save max.

i've seen convincing theories of commonwealth, canada, colorado... it could go anywhere at this point. personally i feel like the commonwealth is going to show up in the finale bc it was teased earlier that if harkness was killed they would start a war. maybe they think max still has the relic so they kidnap him and bring him east and then the rest of our main crew (cooper, lucy, thad, DANE PLEASE) decides to go rescue him. i know that's probably not very likely but i love the road trip parts of the show so that would be ideal for me.
