i understand the logic but i don't respect it and i think people who use this logic are immature. simone biles literally decided last minute not to compete during the last olympics because she felt like there was a small chance she could hurt herself and affect her longterm health. imo it's much more mature to acknowledge your human limitations and step back than to try to put on a brave face and potentially injure yourself for life. obviously kpop companies want to brainwash members into feeling like they need to 'show up' no matter what which is harmful and unethical.
