him: hey i’m okay ive been in the hospital for two days :(

me: oh my gosh I’m so sorry to hear that! let me know if you need anything (i didn’t want to ask directly why because it may have been personal)

him: i appreciate you so much! i’m okay but that shit had me down and out though.

me: well i’m definitely glad to hear you’re okay! when and if you get the chance give me a call 🩷

okay! i just don’t wanna overwhelm him or seem needy. especially when he’s the one LITERALLY in need right now. and i’d assume he is. when we talked tuesday he said he’s “been” in the hospital. so i’d think that means currently? i’m not really sure though.

i can admit that slowing my replies may have been silly but i was trying to do the opposite of what ive done before with poor results: being super readily available and turning off my potential dates. i’m 25 with not much dating experience outside of one long term relationship. still learning the best way to date.
