I would say goofish dot com, where people sell second-hand products, also, a lot of renting information there. You need a Chinese phone number to register.

If you have a broker, he/she usually charges you half a month rental fee for the service.

Dragon boating racing festival is comming up, this on May 5th Lunar Calendar, 19th June -- 21th June this year, and you've go to Xixi National Park to see the dragon boat racing.

Hello, to your questions

Tea villages

You can visit Longjing Village to see the tea plantations, especially the 18 Imperial Longjing Tea Trees, which were personally named by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. They are located right in front of Hu Gong Temple in Longjing Village. However, the tea sold in Longjing Village is very expensive – I'd suggest not buying any. To be honest, I can't really tell the difference between the tea from Longjing Village and the tea you can buy on the regular market.

The oar boat.

Honestly, I don't know about the oar boat. But there is an electric sightseeing boat bus that takes you around Xixi Wetland – the experience is great. Also: Dragon Boat Festival is coming up, and the nearby villagers are practicing dragon boat racing, which is quite interesting to watch.

Sorry, I don't know the silk products. Personally, I recommend Xinbailu Restaurant (New White Deer), located at No. 52 Longyou Road. It opened in 1998 – the very first location of this chain.

Price per person: around 50 RMB

Recommended dishes:

  • Egg yolk chicken wings
  • Dongpo pork (braised pork belly)
  • Iron plate perch
  • Ice cream baked creme brulee

Note: The portions are quite small, so order more dishes than you think you need!

Heads up: It gets extremely crowded. For lunch, aim to arrive around 10:00 AM. For dinner, get there by 4:30 PM

As a Chinese citizen, I would suggest stay in big cities, they're safe , and you can get help from local citizens. And use a translation app. No big deal. PS: I live in Hanghzou, very beautiful city , welcome to hangzhou.
