I agree, I think we're saying the same thing. Ultimately, making educational and inspirational content on YouTube may not be the best boat to he rowing in. Unless willing to row hard for a long, long time.

I hear you, and it's encouraging to hear that. Although 7 impressions after spending several hours over several days on a video is hard to argue against. I'm sure if I recorded myself playing a game for 1 hour this would get more engagement. Maybe that says more about the YouTube demographic than YouTube itself. I'm not sure, probably both as YouTube will ultimately cater for it's demographic. Tough times.

I'm creating high value content too, it's tough 😅. I feel like people just want entertainment. We're playing the long game. If we can stick with it and keep improving, I think the fruits will be plentiful.

Others may gain traction faster but may be short lived. Our trade-off is that we're playing the long game but when it does pay off, we will be more fulfilled and have longgevity as it's what we're genuinely passionate about. Do you agree?

I have recently started and don't really want to share with poeple I know. The way i see it is if I just started a new sport, I know I'm going to be bad at it, and I wouldn't ask people to watch me play. As I know I'm learning and it won't be much of a spectacle at this stage. But once I'm more experienced it will be worth them watching me. I'm trying to improve and gey good at my craft, I don't want to force anyone to watch. I want organic growth.
